Art of Atari Poster Collection Paperback – Illustrated, July 4, 2017

Love the space age aesthetic most of these have, it would be awesome if there were more of these posters.

A lot of fun artwork to see in this book. You get a lot of different themes and types of graphics. Fun to see.

The posters are of great quality and the art is an example snapshot of the time period in gaming history. However, some of the best posters are on the same sheet of paper, which is disappointing. If you planned to display them all, buy two books of these. Otherwise, have a double sided frame for your favorite double sided poster.

This collection of posters dates back to when Atari was first popular. My daughter has been an Atari fan since she was in school . This collection has a nice variety and perfect coloration. Posters would be good for framing

The stock of the posters is thick and is quality, for sure.I have to say I'm a little disappointed that much of the art is sports related, which is far from the "iconic" Atari that I feel is so nostalgically appreciated. The images are also cropped in strange ways.

The posters in this book are decently sized, but I haven't even opened the book up because I know I'll be brought to tears at the sheer beauty of it all. Rivaling the works of the greats; Michaelangelo, Da Vinci, Dali, the art on display here is transcendent. Buy the book and tell your wife the pictures are going up wherever you damn well please to put them because they are so amazing. Look upon these works and know that imagination is the key to all power.

This poster book is amazing capturing the artwork produced by Atari for its games. My formative years were spent with this art and it's nice to now be able to hang it anywhere I want. Super Breakout in the hallway, Haunted House (2 pieces included!!) in the guest bedroom, and Asteroids is going up in the powder room.Folks if your like me and loved these games as a kid buy this poster book. I'm buying another for preservation.Before I go... one slight negative... who decided to put the artwork of Yars Revenge on the flip side of Warlords???!!! Argh!!!

Very large, very sturdy book of amazing Atari artwork! It is worth picking up for either a companion to the Art of Atari book itself, or just as a poster collection. Personally the sports posters are not my thing, but the art is fantastic. Well worth the money you pay for it, if you are a fan of old art, specifically Atari's art for their home consoles, then this book is for you.

Every once in a while I pick up something from Amazon just on a whim, but I am then completely blown away upon seeing and touching the item in person... Well, THIS IS ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS!Wow, this thing is truly stunning! The quality of the printing and the card stock chosen is just top notch! The item is almost a full 12 x 16 inches and has a very well thought binding design that feels very robust and yet lays perfectly flat when viewing side by side pages.As a 70’s and 80’s kid, the nostalgia overload on experiencing this “work of art” is overwhelming! The memory rush!! :DI don’t even think you have to be a retro gaming fan, or Atari nerd or whatever “label” you want to slap on to appreciate this. I am certain that Students of Art or even art lover’s in general would be more than happy to own this or receive as a gift.I have Absolutely no regrets with this purchase. In fact, I almost want to get a second copy now just for the purpose of picking a few of the selections to frame as I think it would be a shame to break this book apart.AAA+

Compré el libro "Art of Atari", y cuando lo tuve pensé que estaría bien tener algunos de esos diseños en tamaño poster. Dicho y hecho, a los pocos días apareció el "poster collection" en pre-reserva.Lo tengo desde hace tiempo, y ya está desguazado, porque las páginas están hechas de manera que pueden despegarse fácilmente para colgarlas de la pared.El papel es grueso y la impresión de mucha calidad, aunque al conjunto le veo 2 pegas:- A veces al quitar un poster del libro, quedan restos de pegamento. No suele ser difícil de quitar.- las páginas están impresas a doble cara, y eso es un problema si nos gustan ambos dibujos de la misma hoja. La única solución que le veo a esto es comprar por duplicado el libro.Si no queréis sacar los posters del encuadernado y usar el álbum como libro, la cosa va a estar difícil a la hora de guardarlo. No hay estantería que le valga, es enorme (cosa que no veo como pega, sino como ventaja ;) ).Recomiendo su compra sin duda.
