Small footprint, great sound, gets pretty loud
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is a compact speaker. The design is well thought out, the buttons feel nice, and the device feels well made. I felt that the sound quality overall was pretty good, although for hiphop music the speaker could use a bit more bass. The pairing process was simple and the controls work over bluetooth as expected. Bluetooth 5 has made pairing process easier. I would recommend this device, it is a well made device for the price point!

Good quality and good value
Mpow SoundHot R6 Bluetooth Speaker ReviewSmall, portable and unobtrusive.Construction seems very solid. Did not drop test the speaker, but have no reservations about using it in moderately hostile environment. Carrying cord reduces chance of accidental dropping.Bluetooth pairing and connecting is automatic, no intervention needed.Music clear over wide range of frequencies, not choppy, no static. Audiobook voices also very clear.Performed well in these environments: • Outdoors on deck in backyard • In garage, a large open area, noise of fans and power hand tools. Not tested with benchtop tools running due to earplugs being required. • In vehicle with road and wind noise • On floor of shower stall under spray • Under water, submerged while operating, kept playing (muffled). Had to weigh speaker down, it floats. When removed from water, sound slightly muted until all water drained from speaker area.Assume speaker to be dust proof due to performance in water. When distance between device and speaker increases, no loss of quality until nearly out of Bluetooth range.Buttons for Power, Bluetooth, Play/Pause, volume and bass+ on top of speaker. Button functions displayed with raised symbols/icons/letters. Can be hard to read in dim, indirect light; other devices use light colors to indicate button functions more clearly. Phone can also be used for play/pause and volume adjustments. While normal sound has more than adequate bass, BASS+ button definitely enhanced bass, but seemed to affect higher frequencies.Sound over Bluetooth compared to audio jack – seemed slightly quieter with audio jack (could be due to phone). No noticeable difference in sound quality.True Wireless Stereo (TWS) dual speaker function not tested, do not have the required two speakers.Mpow ads claim speaker can play up to 24 hours at moderate volume. Not fully tested, but monitored charge which never dropped below 70% after several hours of use. Full charging takes five hours, but the speaker works while being charged. When receiving a phone call, the music stops, then starts again when call finished. Can use phone to transfer call from speaker to phone for privacy.Different audible tones for power on, power off, connecting Bluetooth.Subjective audio comparison using available devices: • Good: iHome iBT500 (Model 01J7W1), lowest price. • Better: Mpow SoundHot R6 (BH264A), moderate price. • Best: Bose Colour Soundlink (Model 414859), much more costly. Not a high-end speaker, but good quality and good value for the price. Highly recommended, five stars.

Solid value
I have a pair of Mpow headphones that I've been really happy with so when I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker for my desk at work and found this at the super reasonable price it was, I had to try it.As a comparison, I've been going back and forth between this and a slightly more expensive and a little larger DOSS Soundbox I've owned for a couple of years. The speaker is pretty well packaged and was charged 70% right out of the box but I finished charging it so I could really test the battery. I've listened to several hours of music on it and watched two movies on my tablet with it and it's currently showing 60% battery remaining. Seems like the rated battery life might be pretty accurate. Now for the sound... It's good. I wouldn't say it's great but for this price, it's pretty impressive and it does get pretty damn loud. It sounds good across the whole range except when you turn it all the way up. It seems to struggle a bit at full volume and gets a bit washed out. Then there's the bass+ mode and yeah... To me, it doesn't sound at all like there is an increased bass output so much as a muted mid and upper range which gives the *perception* of a bass boost. I really feel like it's deceptive to call it a bass boost when anyone paying attention could tell what's going on. Not cool. Then, like I said, I compared it to the DOSS Soundbox. I can't recall what I paid for the Soundbox when I bought it but I think they're about $30 now which is only marginally more than this one costs ($23). And I'm thinking I am going to be returning this one to get another DOSS. The DOSS just sounds a lot more clear and well balanced across the whole range regardless of volume. The battery life isn't quite as good and it's a bit bigger but I'm okay with that. Also, the Soundbox is louder by a considerable amount. This speaker isn't *bad*, which is why I'm giving it a 4 star rating. If you want something that can get loud enough for most environments, has a good battery life, is waterproof and reasonably compact, it's a good deal. Just don't expect a lot from the bass+ mode and don't expect clear sound at high volume.

Quality Charger
I don't like having to pay the extra money for a name brand product when there are quality OEM replicas available. I've tried two other Fitbit Alta chargers and have had issues. Per the reviews on these, this was my last ditch effort before forking out the cash for the real deal. The verdict? These worked perfectly! Much cheaper alternative, with longer cables and have a snug fitment just like the factory one. These do not have the reset button, so be weary of that. I could not be happier with this purchase. If you found my review helpful, please click helpful to let me know I provided a useful review. Thanks!

Vendor is great, but don't expect much from Canada Post. :-(
The speaker is great. It's just what I hoped for. Unfortunately, Canada Post was very late on delivering them which led to some issues on my (the receiving) end. The vendor was outstanding in fixing getting back to me. I will definitely deal with them on any future purchases of this type.
