At Last NO Pigeons!
Used these on the top of our fences and pergola. Easy to attach with cable ties. Job done is less than an hour. The pigeons have stayed well clear, however smaller birds can still perch in between the spikes making it safe for them. The assembly of the spikes onto the plastic strip is easy but time consuming. The spikes are coated in a light "oil" so it is a little messy.I would certainly recommend these, we used the gutter spikes too, they also work very well.My only comment is the book sent with each pack is good but you don't need one with every pack, should be able to opt out

Superb - Does exactly what it says on the tin!
These are brilliant and have had exactly the desired results, I looked at numerous products and reviews and chose the Defender Bird Spikes and I can now recommend these highly! We had new composite decking and raised beds running along 6’ fences, birds and pigeons would sit on top of the fences and crap all over the decking, since installing the defenders not one single drop of poo! No more unsightly mess or constant cleaning up, superb!

Trial and error
The book that arrived with them was an unexpected surprise - full of useful information and facts. It was trial and error with the spikes though - the pesky pigeons wove their twigs in and out the spikes and continued to make their nest. We had to clear the twigs daily until they got the message. Thought pigeons were supposed to be intelligent - we almost put up a notice hoping they would read it but thought we would persevere with the spikes. They were a bit difficult to attach so we used our own long cable ties. Hopefully, the problem is cured.
