Linkee: Nick Jonas Edition: Family Quiz Board Game for Adults and Teens, Perfect For Family Game Night

This game is so fun and a good crowd pleaser. It’s American pop culture trivia mixed with NYT connections, so some people are going to be better than others. I think it’s best played in teams so that it’s easier to have more guesses to the answers and you can cobble stuff together to figure out the card’s theme/word.

Really fun game, very easy to play and bring around as the size isn’t too heavy to lug around! Would definitely recommend this as an addition for hangouts or board game nights!

I played this at my nieces house with extended family and everyone enjoyed it. Can be played with teens to folks in their 70's. Glad I found it on Amazon

Like most Big Potato games, this is a party game, and it will be more fun if you have more people playing. On the box, and in the online description, the trivia questions were stuff I would describe as general purpose knowledge. Once we actually played it, however, I found some of the questions were a bit challenging for people that aren't trivia buffs, or else trended towards Gen Z pop culture.The premise of the game is that there are four trivia questions, and the answer to each of the four trivia questions all have something in common, and whatever that something is, is the Linkee. Whoever can guess the Linkee wins the card—the four trivia questions don’t matter except to help you guess the Linkee.For example, on one of the cards each of the four questions had an answer of a shape: circle, square, triangle, cross. Ok, so you might think the Linkee is “shapes.” But you’d be wrong—the answer was PlayStation controller buttons. Another one had a Linkee of “Miley Cyrus.” These are fine, I guess, but my mother-in-law, for whom I bought this game as a gift, could be guessing until doomsday and never get either of those answers. I got the distinct impression that she did not enjoy her time playing this game. In fairness, there were a few cards that trended older: one card was four Stanley Kubrick movies, and a younger person playing said, “who?” Ouch.On the other hand, if you are a person that enjoys trivia, or if you are of the age that you have ever made a TikTok video, you might find the questions a bit easy. I didn't think there were any questions that were unfair, although some of the Linkees are a little obscure.Where it really loses (at least) a star for me is the length of time it takes to play. Each card has a letter on the back that corresponds to a letter in the word “Linkee,” and to win, you have to earn enough cards to spell “Linkee.”Seems pretty straightforward, but if you have several people playing, this takes way longer than you think.We played with 6 people, and the game went at least 2 hours. Towards the end, everyone was definitely over it and we were all ready to move on to something else. If we play again, we'll have to think about some way to shorten the game up so it doesn't drag.I give it four stars because I like trivia and party games, but that honestly might be a bit on the generous side. It's worth buying at around $10 or so (I paid $10.39 in Dec. 2022), but I don't think I'd pay more than $15.

Some of the cards require quite a bit of knowledge to be able to create the links, but I didn't mind. We struggled with some, but were able to get others right away. We learned a lot! A great game if you love random trivia and puzzles!

No steep learning curve, although you do need to pay attention and listen to the clues. Great game!

Got this for a teenage girl along with friendship bracelets for secret santa and she loved it! It was great for my budget and brightened her day!

We have had so much fun playing this game- easy to play and great for family night.

I now know why it's Nick Jonas's favorite game.Be careful about what seller u get it from because my copy was extremely banged up when it arrived.

If you like trivia and logic/riddles, you will love this game!

Just found out about this game a few weeks ago and have been playing it since. Lots of fun and laughs

The game itself is super fun! The family loves it and it's a really great choice for game nights! That being said, the packaging had a lot of rips, and it continued into the inside of the box, making it look cheep.
