Do NOT get if your dog knows how to slip out of a harness.
TERRIBLE product. Item feels great and fit my dog perfectly. After carefully reviewing the video to size my dog and secure him in the harness it felt snug and secure. We walk outside and my escape artist dog bucks once and slips directly out like a toddler holding their arms up. I spent the next 45 mins chasing him around town as he refuses to come. I come to find out that the strap are basically elastic so no matter how tight you make it, they still give another 2-4". Returned instantly.

Highly recommend! Makes dog walking a pleasure.
I cannot say enough good things about this harness. I have two German Shepherds, both of who are big pullers. The "smaller" one is 70 pounds and my big boy is 120. As a barely 5'2" fifty-five year old woman, on more than one occasion they have pulled me over when they have to do the beginning of the walk sprint. I have a nice, big, fenced in backyard for them to play in, but they were showing behaviors of being bored, such as digging, so I knew they needed more exercise. That is when I found these harnesses. They have virtually put an end to pulling. The dogs walk very nicely. It is easy to pull them away from distractions such as having to sniff where another dog has been. They are great for holding them back when, God forbid, we come across a cat while out walking.I also love that they are incredibly easy to put on and off - just over the head with two clicks. I have tried other harnesses which have multiple connections that are not only hard to fit, but difficult to get on. My dogs would fight those, but I do not have that problem with these. My dogs know that when these come out it means time for walkies and easily let me pull them over their heads. If I had to find one fault, the front does tend to come a little loose while walking, depending on the amount of pulling, but that is very easy to tighten up and continue on your way. If your dog is a puller, buy this harness. You will be very pleased! I cannot recommend it strongly enough.

Very nice harness!
This harness is working great for us! I really like it.I ordered a size small for my Brittany, Ripley. Ripley is slightly large for a Brittany, about 20" tall and 39 lbs with a 24" chest. The harness fits her very close to its tightest setttings. She has about an inch to an inch-and-a-half of strap available for tightening remaining at each of the four locations. That makes the harness pretty true to size, based on the sizing chart. You can see the fit in the included photos.I chose this harness because Ripley is a bit of a puller, and we've been having some trouble with rubbing under her armpits from a few of the other harnesses we've tried when she pulls. So far, we haven't had any of the same issues with this harness. It doesn't rub anywhere, so no sores. In addition, this harness paired with a leash with two loops (the kind with a short one at the front and a longer one at the end) has done wonders for her pulling. We haven't even had to use the front attachment point at all. The front attachment does seem a little weaker, but since we haven't needed to use it, I can't say for sure whether or not it it a potential failure point. The reviews for the harness when I first purchased it had me a little hesitant. I love ruffwear gear (and I own a lot of it), but many of the photos for this product show a broken attachment point. It appears that this is from the older version of the harness, the versions that come with gray straps (mine is solid pink). The newer version, which has straps that are the same color at the harness, has an added plastic piece between the fabric loop and the metal attachment point on the back. This added piece of plastic seems to be doing a pretty good job of protecting the fabric strap from wear by the metal loop. If anything changes, I'll update my review.Overall, this is a very nice harness and I'm impressed with the quality.

What's Not to Love?! The Purple 2017 FR Harness is the Best!
My service dog loves this harness. I can highly recommend the Ruffwear Front Range Harness! (2017 edition) Here's why...It's very clear that they have listened to their customers. When it arrived I was thrilled! With the 2017 edition of this harness...not only did they introduce some new colors but they adapted the metal leash hook itself. In short, they added a black plastic piece to the area of the metal leash hook. This provides a 'buffer' instead of just the metal itself coming in contact with the material holding it on. See pictures.I've had this harness for some time and have had no trouble with any piece of this harness. My service dog and I were very happy to finally have the option of purple! This is our color! The ID section at first inspection looked to be a neat idea with little real usage. I was wrong in my assumptions. Once you get the harness you will find out that while it's difficult to get the Velcro open in this section, this is actually a good thing as it does a fantastic job of holding inside the current shot tags. At first this area seemed so small that I'd never get even one tag inside. But in truth, it is much bigger and longer than I thought. I honestly don't know if that is something that changes (or is differently sized) based on the size of the harness one orders (we needed the L/XL). However, I can truly appreciate this feature as having public access means my dog must have everything on him that let's people know who he is, that he's up to date on his shots, and the service to call to make sure he gets home if (heaven forbid) we became separated. What happens is this information all ends up around the dog's neck. Having an everyday harness with this feature is incredibly forward thinking. It's now possible to only need a lightweight name and contact numbe tag on his collar. This was a brilliant idea to put on an everyday harness. Love it!Some have said the location is not labeled or labeled large enough, but it is clearly marked ID...and when you take into consideration the area or size of the portion of the harness on the dogs back, it seems to be correctly sized and easily readable to me.This is also a harness built to have zero plastic or metal parts that will rub against the dog from wear. I can tell that my service dog feels comfortable and safe in it. I say this because it really is made to be at one with the dog...and not just a piece of equipment that poorly fits and is purchased more for the dog owner than the dog. This harness is made with the dog in mind first and foremost. I believe that's why it fits so well and that if you look really closely... each part is for the utmost comfort of the dog.I've read a review or two about a dog chewing though the straps. I can't see how this could be a problem if the harness is on your dog, and when removed is located where the dog cannot get to it. This is the responsibility of the dog owner, not the company that made the product. The chewing of straps is a direct result of a lack of supervision as dogs will be dogs. What I suggest is to have a consistant location (kept close by to where you know you will need it or where you use it the most) but out of site or reach from your dog.I really cannot say enough good things about this harness. If I had to find something that was not so wonderful, it would have to be getting the straps both in the front and back to the perfect fit. The true reason why this isn't so easy is because it's made to continually be comfortable for the dog, no matter how it needs adjusted. This might take more than one sitting, only because you don't want your dog to get frustrated from the constant trying on as well as you need the time to see how it sits and moves when your dog is in motion. Once this is done, you are good to go.This really is the best harness I've ever used. I can recommend it because I have put it through its paces with my service dog. And we both love it!

A great harness for labs and can take a lot of punishment.
This is the third harness of this type that I have bought and will continue to stay with this make until they ever stop selling. Despite our labrador putting the harness through it's paces by many dips in the river, through bushes and when she pulls on the lead, it took two years before this harness started to shows signs of needing replacing and this was just some stitching coming loose near on the underneath. We use this harness with the halti lead. So the lead is connected via the metal loop on her back and via the material and plastic loop on her chest. It has also showed no signs of ever rubbing her or being uncomfortable for her.I'd recommend this harness to anyone.

Perfect harness
We have just tested this harness in Wales on treks and in the car with our Jack Russell and I am very pleased with it. It is very well made, light and has some nice safety features. She also doesn't slip out of it like previous harnesses I had. It is very adjustable and didn't limit her movements on her walk.I wish I had invested earlier.

Excellent harness
This is an excellent harness. After only a few outings our dog really forgot she was wearing it. It's really nice and padded and seems to be very comfortable. The front ring is brilliant for training her and because the ring is on the harness and not on her collar, if she does pull she doesn't hurt her neck. Also if she pulls, she is twisted sideways so is now pulling less which is better for everyone. This style of harness was recommended by an RSPCA trainer, who is helping us understand what our rescue dog needs. It's very adjustable and comfortable.

It works!!!
So, my Husband wishes he'd bought this as a gift for my birthday next month as I was raving about it so much 😅 but, I feel that it is becoming increasingly rare to find something whereby the thought, attention to detail, functionality and desire to fulfil a need make you so happy with a purchase. My beautiful dog, Nasa, is a Spanish rescue dog. She is nature's own forever puppy with the face & build of perhaps a small labrador puppy, but the body (& speed) of a small whippet. So, in the 2.5 years we have had her we have tried collars and various harnesses and as we are an outdoor active family & she is a fearless investigator of everything in nature, her harness gets a workout! So we get through them. The only ones which would fit, were fairly thin & so didn't last long & also meant that she could wriggle free from them if she chose to, which only happened twice with two different harnesses but was concerning as she is just like me... Free willed 😂 and so... This harness is a total game changer!! First of all like a mother who puts those little hairbands in her baby daughter's non existent hair because she gets mistaken for a boy... I love this hot pink design so Nasa isn't mistaken for a boy...no idea why this matters to me, perhaps flashbacks to my own pigeon holed youth as a "Tomboy" ha ha. Next, you can adjust and adjust, not just around her armpits (?) where she is stocky but her teeny shoulders & neck. No more houdini for her!!! Then... The added amazing bonus that you can walk or run her with the lead on top or in front. No more pulling, which she would do out of occasional impatience when we walk, because she knows we sometimes run so she just feels we are clearly able so why not? Anyway, when she'd pull out of the blue you had to be prepared so walking was a little more High alert than it should be. Now, without any extra training, she just trots happily along since the option to pull is not available, it is almost a relief to her.... A bit like when you want a sugar fix and you're glad you don't buy that stuff because you'd eat the lot! Someone put time and effort into knowing dogs and so I can't recommend this harness enough.
