Depending on what you're using, the vegetable can become a mess or slice perfectly. I have used it on sweet potatoes and zucchini thus far, to make "spaghetti noodles". The sweet potatoes sliced perfect with no problem; the zucchini was a little trickier, but I was still able to get noodles from it. I had to use just my hand with one of the zucchini and not the gripping handle because it wouldn't grip the zucchini. It's fickle ... Super inexpensive and it does work ...

like i said, ok for small items, like radishes and new potatoes. really only a garnishing tool. Also, the time it took to unscrew the product then screw it back together is laughable. If youre considering a raw food diet or just want a good sized plate of zucchini pasta you need to get a spiralizer that actually holds a medium zucchini. also, cleanup is not a breeze.

Are you people smack out of your gourds?! This thing is freaking fantastic! I has to use 2 zucchinis to learn how to get it to make the strands properly....put force and weight towards blade. It cut 7 remaining zucchinis into spaghetti without any problems. It fit a standard size zucchini so not sure why people are belly aching about produce not fitting into the device. Our spaghetti was DELICIOUS and such an awesome alternative to traditional pasta. I plan on buying several for Xmas gifts. LOVE this product. If you took the time and patience (oh, about 15 minutes of learning) to figure out how it works, you wouldn't post a negative review. This is a must-have kitchen item!!!!

This item is not clear how to use it, there are no instructions. I had to look online to see how to use it. Works well with a variety of hard vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, ginger. Zucchini must be firm and must be small enough to fit in cylinder. Otherwise I just cut zucchini in thin small strips to use as pasta.

I should have read the other reviews before purchasing this. It is a neat concept, but the execution leaves a bit to be desired. We spent the first thirty minutes trying to get the blade decks out, and the next hour trying to figure out how to put them back in. The vegetable does have to be chopped just so to fit in the slicer, and it only cuts about the first half of it. Then it just sort of spins and mushes the remaining piece. We were hoping to make vegetable noodles, and this is definitely not going to do that. Only appropriate for garnishes, and even that not in large quantities.

Not wild about this vegetable noodler. Lots of unused portions as you end up with a nub that can't be further noodled or the thing just gets all clogged up with vegetable parts that don't get through on the first attempts.

It mostly works - occasionally it doesn't. The plastic threads have a lot of resistance, so some effort is required to turn it, even without a vegetable in it. But it's fun for occasional use. The blades seem pretty decent and the end curls are pretty great.

Can't figure out how to use it. Doesn't come with instructions, but on the box and there are a couple different blades and parts to it. Also I am not that strong so it gets a little hard for me to use.
