What a Read. They let the Rebs get hot.
Do you ever see a book on the shelf and remember just how enamored you were with it when you first read it? Well that’s what this book does except instead of remembering the book, every page you read takes you back to the games, the sights, the smells of the historic season played out by Ole miss baseball. The behind the scenes actions and words of a team destined for greatness. Every page brings back memories of where I was, who I was with and what I was doing while I watched this epic season unfold. The games I got to enjoy with my father and my family. To the games that I was able to etch into my mind in Omaha, NE. (The games in Omaha hold and even more special place in my heart since that’s where me and my wife got to announce to everyone that we were having our first child). I’d be lying if I said this book didn’t give me chills or bring a few tears to my eyes. The way the young Chase Parham dives into the histories. The highs. The lows. Of a season etched into Ole Miss lore. Wow. Just wow. I will forever remember this season and this book will always help to freshen up those moments of my life. What a ride. Chase did such an excellent job that I almost regret chugging a Reign Body Fuel energy drink and powering through the entire thing within 24 hours of receiving It.Almost.I cannot wait to give the second copy to my Dad on his birthday just so he can feel the same emotions I did while reading. They let the Rebs get hot. #HottyToddy

Well done objective review of a season that defied odds
Chase lays out the undercurrent of the well known storylines, as well as revealing many details the average sports fan would never know. There are parts of this book that will shake you. There are parts of this book that make you realize just how much humanity we all share. It is very much written without romanticism, which is wild given the the subject. But it does work for me. It’s an early Hemingway-esque approach to a story that could be milked. I suspect this hits the mark of the target audience. It’s a well-written book about a legendary team that most will never know because of the sport. If you’re an Ole Miss fan, it’s a must. If you’re a fan of baseball, it’s worth your time. If you like human interest delivered with journalistic tone and diction, it’s a highly recommend. It’s a quick read. It’s not The Gashouse Gang, but it wasn’t intended to be.It’s a good book for Ole Miss fans,College baseball fans, and fans of real-life feel good stories. Worth the money. I’ve bought a couple of copies for young ball players

Excellent
This book takes you behind the scenes and adds a lot more detail into how unbelievable the end of the season went and how close a lot of lives would have changed if not for the playoff run. I highly suggest the book.

Chae Parham is a great writer and excellent reporter. Gets to the nitty gritty details and is always striving to be as accurate as possible. Loved reliving the magical World Series run by the Rebels and he made it happen.

Last team in, last team standing.
The perfect book for any Ole Miss fan wanting to relive the roller-coaster 2022 season which eventually ended with the Rebels standing alone atop the college baseball world. Chase's book combines interviews with photos and his own columns to take the reader on a magical and immersing journey. A must-read for all college baseball fans.

Great Read
Chase always does great work at Rebel Grove, so it's no surprise the book he wrote about the Rebs' unlikely path to a National Championship is equally as enjoyable to read. He has covered the program for years and has the connections unlike anyone else. Here's to the new best-selling author in Mississippi.
