I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. The story draws the reader in as Joey shows Sophie that life with him can be all that she wants and needs. All the characters are well done. There are plenty of different elements to hold the reader's interest including some hot erotic sexy scenes. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. Prepare to be drawn back into this entertaining and enjoyable story.

Book 2 in this Made Men series, and edited and extended version of The Bossman, a good entertaining age-gap / mafia read with plenty going on!Sophie works as a massage therapist, struggling to make ends meet at the best of times, living on her own. Her father was in the mafia until he was killed, her mum suspects they had something to do with his death, never liking him being in the mafia, and got out of the Family with Sophie after he was killed. Her mum moved away to Florida and remarried, Sophie stayed loving what she did, but you never really get to leave the Family.....Joey cooks the books for the Family, he has a back injury and is recommended to go see if Sophie can help him out. He hasn't see her for years, since the day of her dad's funeral when he took her away to the coast for some time to herself. It's years later and little Sophie is all grown up and beautiful, the pull to her is still there, and Joey finds himself lusting after her, as she tries to mend his sore back.Sophie can't believe Joey is in her studio after all these years, but boy is she glad she's the one tending to him and his sore muscles, but she's getting a little hot under the collar! But he's part of the Family, something she want's nothing to do with, she is still raw and angry about her father's death, but cannot ignore the pull she is feeling towards Joey. Her healing hands end up riling Joey up until he can no longer resist and takes her in her studio. He knows one taste of Sophie will never be enough, and he get her to commit to having 3 dates with him, in the hope he can win her round.These two work so well together, Joey is older and experienced and Sophie finds herself submitting to him, enjoying his dominance and control, finding out she has a bit of a kink for it. Hot scenes with good power exchanges, spankings and punishments with sass from Sophie and Joey knowing how to push all her buttons. Joey finds himself rethinking about his whole way of life, he wants more of what Sophie can offer, but can he step back from the Family and offer her more?This was a good read with plenty going on, not just in the bedroom, but with a rival gang, a disloyal member of the Family with threats and danger around every corner! Looking forward to reading more from this series.

This is another great story Joey is gorgeous I think it would be hard for any girl to resist him. Though about the Mafia this is more about family and personal relationships than anything else. The settling of things left over from the past so that there can be new beginnings.

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Joey and Sophie’s journey. When Sophie’s dad is killed, she and her mom are cast aside by the mafia, and it is at the funeral that she meets Joey. Now 13-years later Joey shows up for a massage at Sophie’s therapy department, and the sparks fly between them. This is a well written story which has family, secrets, truths, suspense, intrigue, loss, pain, healing, twists, and love, which leads to an addictive page turner.I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I enjoyed reading this story. Joey & Sophie were so great for each other. It was so frustrating to read her pulling back. Their bond was evident though it was hard for Sophie to figure out. I recommend reading this if you like sexy romances.

I loved, loved, loved Joey.Joey knew what he wanted and that was Sophie. Sophie needed a little longer to come around due to her experience with the family.A few editing errors in this book the prologue states she is 12 the next page she's 14, plus a few more editing errors on point of views. Luckily the editing didn't distract from the story.

I love the writing in all her books so when I purchased these I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. They're not dark mafia but they're full of very hot sex and couples that have struggles getting together but because of a strong love have a happy ending. This one is different from the first book yet it has a similar flavor to it. These guys don't become upstanding citizens, thank Goodness, but they're going to do whatever it takes to make the love of their lives happy! I really enjoyed the last book and now this one !

I’ve been missing Joey. I loved Bossman and I love this updated version. I read Bossman went it was on KU and was sad when it wasn’t available to read anymore. This version has most of the plot from the original with a few changes. The new version has added length and seems to have more spice. I’m glad a part of my favorite scene made it into the new version. I will be rereading that spicy massage scene in the beginning several more times in the near future.
