REVIEW UPDATEThe first time I got the product I was disappointed as it was blunt and would only cut root vegetables (everything else would get smashed).The seller contacted me after reading my review and gave me a refund and send me a replacement product which is a far cry from the 1st one I've got. This one is sharp (the other one had no cut at all so I'm assuming it was defective). It cuts through a variety of vegetables.The only thing is it will take some getting use to. I still prefer my chopping board and knife but I guess it is really a matter of practice and preferences. Overall, a good product and good costumer services from seller.Original review below.Didn't have the time to return this as it was a Christmas present for my mum and she lives abroad.Long story short: the blade is completely blunt and it will only cut very had vegetables (potatoes, carrots) anything slightly softer will just get squashed. We've tried to sharpen it but it is an awkward shape to do so (at least on my sharpener) and she said she will try at home.Otherwise will be only used for carrots. So not very impressed

This is a very useful kitchen guillotine scissors. The scissors themselves work extremely well. I only had two observations. The safety catch on the handles (which are very comfortable) does seem to require extra attention to lock the two handles together. This could be improved by allowing a less tight mould or a feed in to the latching area. The other item, that drove me nuts, is the wall mountable plastic holster. The bonding tape pre-fitted to the back of the holder was not very good to say the least. I ended up removing the tape and bonding the holder in place with some Gorilla epoxy. This worked a treat. So all in all, I would definitely recommend this product.

I love this. I know it doesn't take much effort to use chopping board and knife, but honestly this saves so much time and less washing up to do! Sometimes I take it to the office if I know I will prepare my lunch in the office. The only slight negative is that I cut my finger the 1st time I washed this gadget - when washing down the chopping board part, just be careful that your fingers don't accidentally rub the blade above.

Really useful, has enabled a young person to make his own salads for lunches with ease and in safety. Cuts carrots and celery well, not so good when trying to cut raw meat, but as it wasn’t bought for that it isn’t really an issue.

First time i ordered they come but cut slanted, i reported it and they sent me out new set free of charge which are brilliant. Thanks

This is neat! Though you can't use it as regular scissors for opening packets or cutting through meat.

Stocking filler. No idea therefore how good it is but I just loved the fact that it can do these things.
