I was going to use this as gifttags, but some are too narrow to write legoble to/froms on. Also, the reverse side is off white, not black. I was hoping for black so I could write on it with my milky pens. Also, these are the thickness of today's construction paper, so if i tied this to the gifts (as opposed to taping it down), the tags could get torn pretty easily as gifts get piled on each other.I was also hoping to use some as ornaments, but the off-white reverse side nakes it less attractive.My 6 year old liked doing several of these before she got bored; kept her busy for about 40 minutes.

I liked that they arrived within a few days of ordering. The end results was nice. But I didn't know they were going to be so messy. I should have known since you are actually removing the top black area with the scratcher provided. I used them with our children's bible class. The kids seemed to enjoy doing them.

These were a huge hit at my sons Christmas party! I had some left over so I took them to work. You should have seen how the adults were all into them. So much so I bought again so there was enough to go around to my coworkers. Lol

Ordered Christmas ornaments and many of them are turkeys. No turkeys are shown in the picture. I feel ripped off. EDIT: I apologize. After reviewing the photo on Amazon I realized some of the shapes that looked like turkeys are actually Christmas designs. It would be nice to include a color phot like above in the packages. For young children especially to get an idea of what they are trying to create for the more unusual shapes.

These are perfect! I took this whole lot to my daughters daycare. Ages 1-3 were able to easily use these and us parents got adorable ornaments for our tree.No mess to clean up. No worries about a writing utensil that they will end up coloring other things with.I highly recommend these.

This was a good purchase for students who finish their work early. They don't understand the concept of scratch art and proceeded to scratch off all of the black. Perhaps it came off too easily, or my students need to follow directions better.

Way easy to use . Very fun to play with . We used it for a class party and was way too messy with the black when the kids scratched , but for home it was great ! Great quality !

I bought these for young children and they loved them. Easy to carve and create. Love the ability to showcase your child's creativity.
