This thing really works. I had previously purchased a different type of tool for removing pet hair from rugs (with soft silicone bristles), and it was difficult to use and didn't get the kind or results I was hoping for. This tool was a revelation. I got a pile of hair out of my living room that was probably from the last 20 years of vacuums not getting the job done. My rug looks brand new. And it was easy to use. The fact that it has two different sizes for different types of pile/upholstery is great design. I'm very pleased with this tool, and I feel stupid for not buying it sooner.

Yes, it really does work. I do not use this every time I clean but it is handy during shedding season to really get up the hair as it falls out more heavily (especially in spots the animals love to regularly lay). I will warn it can get caught on fabric, so be wary that you could tear it if you use it on furniture or curtains. It has never come apart while using it. It is very secure and screws together tightly (it has instructions). It also stores away easily as it doesn't take much space.

I purchased this on April 7. On the third time using it, part 2 broke into part 3, and now it is useless. The seller did contact me, but the only way to fix a break, I think, would be to get new poles with new attachments.It should not have broken. I wish I could replace the broke parts- 2 and 3 because this is a very useful tool and really does work well, when I used it.Where you need a vacuum, also- no vacuum gets up fur, so using this first, really worked great. Maybe if this tool was manufactured differently, it would be more durable.

Ordered the Uproot Clean earlier today and received it on the same day. Assembly took about 5 minutes and started using it please keep in mind I have a Great Pyrenees and a small Manchester terrier which shed on a daily basis leaving behind a lot of hair. I started using the rake and it pulls up the hair like nothing I have ever seen before totally remarkable. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a pet and thinks that their vacuum cleaner is getting the hair up. This thing really works I generally don't give reviews but this one deserves to get one 5 Star's isn't enough.

Absolutely mind blowing. I've been trying to get this rug clean forever! This is actually after vacuuming TWICE! I always felt like it was never clean enough. The hairs just wouldn't vacuum up as much as I wanted. The first picture is after just 5 swipes. The after picture is a whole box of hairs that came off this small rug! I can sit on the floor now! The build is sturdy. Easy directions. The handle is long enough to get good angles no matter how tall or short you are. I don't know what these magic metal "bristles" are, but they sure do work.

I bought this to help clean out my son's college apartment. No pets but the boy sheds his below-the-shoulders hair worse than a dog shedding is winter coat! This thing did wonders. I scraped up a basketball sized hairball with the first pass. Ewwww! The second pass caught even more hair that i didn't really see. This would have killed our vacuum! Well be getting our cleaning deposit back thanks to this.

I just received it today and was excited to try it. I put it together (didn't think of the fact that I could just try the head of it without assembling it) and tried it. Meh- didn't really bring up as much as I thought it would and what other videos/pics show. I disassembled it and decided I will probably return it. I then thought of all the good reviews and tried it two more times (the same day) with just the head; it does seem to bring up some hair (we have a dog and a cat). We also have a Shark vacuum, which is a good brand. I am still debating on rather or not to keep this Uproot tool, as our vacuum is now old - although, it is a Shark brand and I am not certain if it is due to the vacuum being old that it is not picking up hair like it used to. The other solution is just to buy a new vacuum. This tool also snags my carpet (which I don't like at all). I would say if you don't have a solid brand vacuum, this will probably work for you.

It's not really "effortless" - it requires some real work to pull the rake through the carpet. But it is effective!
