VHS Video Cover Art: 1980s to Early 1990s

I am an avid collector of 1980s/1990's video sleeves and have more than 600 in my personal collection. A lot of mine are major blockbusters from those eras but I also have some that are in this book as well.Which brings me to the reason for knocking off a star - whilst the material covered is mostly rare and obscure titles ( which I welcomed) the sleeves themselves are not printed actual size and you do end up losing some detail in the reproductions as a result of this. Bearing in mind the size of the book and amount of black vacant space around each sleeve this should not have been too difficult to achieve.Despite that small point I would definitely recommend this as an essential purchase for those seeking to go down memory lane and revisiting the old smoky video shops of yester-year. We need more books like this to preserve a bygone era so take note publishers as nostalgia is definitely in!

This was not what I expected. I was,and still am a Massive VHS Collector and have been since the early days. Where as it was Great to see page after page of VHS covers from back in the Day(some of which I own) I was expecting some text to go along with each entry. True fans can easily go to their collection and read the blurbs on the back of the boxes themselves. Some history behind the films, perhaps a few lines about the actors or the Distribution companies would have been nice. But what you get is a typical coffee table tome, that once flicked through will not be picked back up again for a while.

Perfect collection of vhs artwork that will leave you gagging for more. Wonderfully presented and excellent quality. Many a great comment from visitors that flick though the book. Really wish there was a second edition
