Puma SGB Skinner Brown Jigged Bone Hunting Knife with Leather Sheath

I bought this skinner because its my favorite knife shape. Really like the substantial brass finger guard that's also nicely polished. The handle is just the right size and should easily accommodate larger hands. The stock photo shows a handle with black & tan jigged bone scales, but mine came with jigged scales in a darker burnt orange color that I like even more! The sheath is quality leather and holds my knife snugly but not too tight. The blade on my knife has an upswept point that is a bit long and thin at the tip, but I have no doubt it will hold up to field dressing the big game I harvest. I didn't realize the puma head was actually cut completely through the steel, I would have preferred it was only etched on the blade, have to make sure to clean extra good in there after use.

Great knife, real good, hard steel (at least, it appears so for this non-technical knife-aficionado person), scabbard's a gem, too, great leather, thick, overall a great buy, and like the previous reviewer [Nov 2019], we've received the burnt orange-y handle, made of sorta bone-like material, would've preferred the darker one as shown on the product view, but the burnt orange's not bad, neither, so we will tolerate, probably yank a small fraction of a star, which means it'll round-off back to the full-star level.. And, it's not Made in you-know-where.

This is the best knife you will ever buy. Don't even bother considering something else
