Putting together a very small model of a stage coach and needed both light and magnification. Both are great. Lamp is quite bright and magnification and clarity are great. Also liked the idea of the swith on the lamp rather than the cord.

This if the best design of magnifying desk lights yet.The step less dimming switch on the light is great.The handle on the light head is very useful.An improved desk clamp, does not Mar the light post.

It seems pretty good in terms of magnification, light is nice and bright and dims nicely. I guess my only complaint would be I wish the the arms were longer for more adjust-ability. They are shorter than the ones on my old one this is replacing but not a deal breaker. This one folds up in its storage position better than my old one because the head on this one has much more range of motion.

Made well and easy to use.

I'm often working on electronics projects of one sort or another and have a stereo microscope to handle the really intricate stuff, but for the larger stuff, the microscope wouldn't work yet I still needed to see pretty fine detail to make sure things fit, etc. I couldn't use a regular magnifying lens because that would require an extra hand, and the ceiling light wasn't illuminating it well enough anyway.This lamp/magnifier was just what I needed. I can position it over my work and it stays where I put it, plus it delivers light directly on what I'm working on and provides just the right magnification for small work. I was afraid of getting one because online quality can be all over the place, but I think I lucked out. This one seems really well built, the magnifier is large and clear, the light intensity is adjustable. It has a cover over the magnifying lens - and I'm not sure what that's there for -but it opens easily, so I don't care. The thing is just what I was hoping for.

This magnifier could use some improvements. A case for the magnifier as I take mine with me on the go. The knob to tighten the placement broke off after a couple of months of use the bottom knob has had problems and has stripped the screw several times. The padding that you attach to the table came off after a month of use. Overall great product, but it needs more stability for longer-term use for those with vision loss and low vision. The lens cover broke off to keep the magnifier clean a week after use. Hope that y'all keep making improvements to your product.

The adjustable brightness is a plus. Easy to mount to w work bench or table

the desk clamp broke my first attempt at screwing it down onto my desk. I was applying fairly firm pressure but NOT an unreasonable amount. luckily I had a spare desk clamp thing in the house that worked. the spare i used is metal, the one that comes with this lamp is plastic. NEVER go for one with plastic, it's just not going to work, period.The dimmer knob works maybe 10% of the time, i turn it on and it's full brightness. if i try to dim it....it will dim SOMEtimes, and not even properly slowly with the knob turn....it just suddenly dims down to an amount it feels like.lastly, the magnification is trash. it's too small and the range of it working is too narrow....I promise you'll regret purchasing this unit, I certainly do! you get what you pay for with an item such as this. this is the last time i try to cheap out on a desk lamp
