My primary reason for buying this was so my kids upstairs could talk to everyone else downstairs and vice versa. My 11 y/o has Type 1 diabetes so being able to hear her alarms and talk to her while she’s out of sight is important, especially at night when it would be really annoying to tell up the stairs or tromp through the house in the dark.Unfortunately, these monitors struggle to allow us to communicate sometimes. While testing it out the first week or so, I kept the baby monitor running so I could hear her alarms at night. But it caused awful screeching when both were on and to attempted to talk. We also can’t seem to get the call numbers to reach individual rooms. Often I just gave up and used the “group” function to ensure that she heard me. But this would annoy everyone else in the house. So it doesn’t function exactly the way I’d hoped.

Does not work. On the off chance it does work sound is so distorted it cannot be understood

The intercoms do not work well and the sound quality is bad when and if they choose to work.
