Memento Mori - "Remember your mortality", from the medieval Latin theory and practice of reflection on mortality, it has been an ubiquitous part of human culture for centuries. From philosophy to art, the fascination, fear and appreciation of death has consistently fascinated and cultivated our imagination. Many practitioners of this theory kept with you, artefacts or keepsakes that serve as a reminder that the only thing that is safe in life was death. Many of these items were often objects (watches, necklaces) in the form of skulls. The Memento Mori Blue is a celebration of life, a sign of what inspires us, and a constant reminder that our time is volatile here. It is a symbol of our eternal defense against our own impermanence. It is a design that reminds us to create, imagine and live. The low poly design is simple and post-modern. But under the clean veneer of elemental shapes lies a complex shading arrangement that adds life and dimensional to an otherwise flat image. The dominant blue hue in each custom card embodies man's ubiquitous reflection about mortality. This wonderful deck allows you to make a statement. Many historians believe that playing cards represented a deeper, esoteric meaning that each suit was one of the four seasons. Each card in a suit was one of the thirteen moon phases. The fifty cards in a deck would represent fifty weeks of the year and together this would only represent a year of your life.

It's Easy to understand how the company selling these would think ...
Chris Ramsey took no part in making this version, other than it being his design which the company copied to manipulate, albeit with little to no effort. It's Easy to understand how the company selling these would think they are by the man himself, but still false advertisement at that.

Fake Edition
Took Chris Ramsay's design and completely negated all the work put in to the original version, then trying to sell under his name... Upsetting.

They lose a whole dimension in this colour
The originals work well with the shifting colours but this is just ice cold...

May as well be fake
Wish I could put no stars Chris had nothing to do with this version, he spent so much time on the first deck all the company did was take his idea and turn it blue in paint such a shame
