Switch Waterproof Reflective Backpack Rucksack Cover 35L, Hi Visibility Rain Cover

Okay, this seems expensive for just a bag cover (when you add all your cycle kit together), you can get covers for about £10 - £20 cheaper in other major cycle brands.I must say though I love this cover. I cycle commute in central London 5 days a week rain, snow, thunder, shine - you name it I cycle it all. I already have all the other kit. I have recently moved further out and now regularly take my fold up on the train and cycle to the station and again in central London to work. No more ortlieb panniers. I needed a cover that would go over a large bag as well as my 18litre camel back rucksack - depending on what kit I am carrying.This cover has great elastic round the outside and securely covers the bag. You then 'criss-cross' the elastic retainer at the back and press-stud the elastic at the back, under the shoulder straps. It also has a light loop to add a back light. I have chosen a small magnetic running light that works great.Pros:Flexible and easily interchangeableSeems to be 100% Waterproof (tried and tested in winter commute conditions 1.5hr + and so far so good, water pills off both cover materials)option for hi-viz OR amazingly reflective/greyish fabric (Good if you are going to the pub or on a rainy night cycle when you can't see hi-viz)The jacket in this fabric I am informed has bad breath-abilityCons:nearly the same price as a tec jacketthe silvery material 'scratches' over time (but overall no major effect to the reflectiveness)Main gripe - No carabiner/hanging loop at the top for a more permanent way to attach to a rucksack. I have seen other brands of bag covers come off with just elastic. What an expensive loss!!! Easily modified though & highly recommended.2x Photos added - reflective is true to real life, hi viz material is much-much brighter in real life than my camera can portray.

Well made, thick material, great reflection properties. I have a 30l deuter rucksack with shoulder straps that don’t go quite to the top therefore the cover wraps really well all round my rucksack and the straps that others have critiqued are not an issue with me as the elastic around the edge makes it very secure . For me it’s perfect and would recommend, but the limitations are that’s it’s perfect for 25l or 30l rucksack it would not fit anything bigger and smaller rucksacks might have an issue being secure without the help of additional scraps. But for me perfect would order again (I use it for my daily bike commute for the last 3 months and it’s still looks like new and the weather has been foul)

Bought this to give extra protection to the contents of my backpack on the way to work in case of rain and also because of the added visibility. Unfortunately one of the press studs that secure the elastic straps fell off when taking it out of its packaging. It has been returned and I have ordered another one. Other than that, it does look like it will do the job.

Material feels a good thick quality and has some impressive reflection capabilities, however, one of the poppers is loose and comes away very easily. It's not a huge problem but is annoying when trying to attach over a bag so I am not giving five stars.I have not used the cover in heavy rain but the material is thick and feels of quality so I would be confident that it'll keep and bag under it and it's contents dry.

Excellent visibility on both sides, really like that you can use the yellow side in the day. Great build quality, elastic straps to wrap around bag with press studs seem reliable. Waterproofness seems excellent.Only criticism is that it struggles to seal the top of the bag if the bag's straps come straight off the top of the bag, but this is a common problem with this design so can't grumble.I cycle to work a lot and do 100+ miles most weeks, but not always with a bag. Big thumbs up.

The cover is thick and durable, and like all Proviz gear, incredibly reflective. However, as other reviewers have experienced, one popper has come off immediately after I unpacked it. I plan to glue it on but clearly there was a fault in the manufacturing process. One should expect that their kit is defect-free at this price point.

Brilliant product - on the expensive side but you get 2 covers in 1 for day and night. Super bright under headlights. Straps mean in can be used on various bag sizes - fits my 35l commuting backpack as well as my smaller Kanken backpack which i use day to day.

The quality of the materials are good but the worksmanship not as much. It's unfortunate that the buttons disappeared when I first used it. These were not sewn in properly. I had to tie the strings now so the cover wouldn't fall off when cycling.
