OPAQUE -not TRANSLUCENT
This plexiglass is OPAQUE, not TRANSLUCENT. Definition of translucent. 1 : permitting the passage of light:a : clear, transparent <translucent water>b : transmitting and diffusing light so that objects beyond cannot be seen clearly. This stuff is like a black hole...light goes in but nothing comes out. I put a powerful flashlight behind it in direct contact with the surface and nothing comes through (see photo). I'll keep it for a different project as it works great as a black mirror..

Read the other reviews before buying.
Seriously, why didn't I just read the reviews first. The reason I purchased it was the key word, "translucent", which this thing is not. Please change the description to match the product. Unfortunately, I had already cut it to the shape I needed prior to peeling off the protective sheets. Only to find out that this IS NOT translucent. Seriously, please update your stupid description.Item itself is pretty good and quality. The seller or whomever is in charge of the description needs to be fired.

Happy enough, I have another pack of 8 coming. I am constructing my own acrylic make up storage (Beauty Cube®) I originally questioned my choice of thickness...but believe what I ordered is perfect. The 12x12 pre- cut size is perfect for my personal needs too. ALTHOUGH....My bad, I should have not taken those measurements as Gospel without first verifying. They were a little off and I didn't notice until the Gorilla had landed. Lol (Gorilla Glue). By then, it was too late. Lol (pictures attached...cuz no shame 😊).It'll still turn out a $55 (all inclusive!) four drawer, huge storage unit with a gap in the back no one will EVER see.I'm so damn happy with this, I may just construct a few more (sans the errors) to have giveaways with for the thousands that subscribed on faith. Chipped and extruded (not cast)
Ordered translucent white on assumption everyone's reports of it being opaque would be true (wanted opaque). Translucent white does indeed seem to be translucent (so that much was as listed).The plastic however was EXTRUDED - not CAST. You can tell by the plastic backing - as opposed to paper backing.Further - I laser-etched some of it. Resulted in the gummy-ish melty effect (like extruded) - as opposed to the crisp powdery effect you get with cast. It's clearly extruded.(For those not in the know - extruded is generally considered lower quality)I have seen other review posts showing the paper backing - so my suspicion is some colors may indeed be extruded - with others not.It also had a chip on the corner.

Slightly wrong dimensions, decent price and delivery.
It Is almost exactly what I ordered. The only flaw is that its not the same thickness as the ad says. I ordered 2 different colors from the same seller. both described as .118. However when I measured the transparent dark blue it was significantly thinner than the other colors I had at the same thickness. I also was missing about a quarter of an inch on the sheets.So in summation, great price point and swift delivery.Although dimensional accuracy is just shy of what it says it is, so beware of what you order if you need exact size sheets but other than that its hard to beat. MAKES YOUR PICTURES LOOK PROFESSIONAL!
Perfect piece to take pictures on whether its jewelry, handbags to pretty much anything!! I purchased to take pictures of jewelry for my shop and it's made each piece pop! Unlike using any material to take pics on, with this acrylic you don't have to worry about lint, dust & what not...The only maintenance I have to do before starting pics is to give it a quick wipe down. At first I was worried about scratching it when laying down any hard objects on it but it's really stood up! I'm still careful when putting anything on it but that's just my OCD.....hahaIt arrives with paper protecting it on each side. I removed the paper from 1 side only so that (if) at anytime 1 side does get scratched up....I can just remove the paper from the flip side and BAAM....have a brand new one again. 😃Highly recommended for anyone taking pictures to sell online. Brings your pictures up to a more professional look!!

This product is NOT TRANSLUCENT, but it is good.
trans·lu·cent /transˈlo͞osnt,tranzˈlo͞osnt/ adjective(of a substance) allowing light, but not detailed shapes, to pass through; semitransparent.This acrylic sheet is only translucent if you do what i did and drill hundreds of holes in it!.That being said, for the project I intended, to block light and heat from a guest bathroom, it was perfect. A little harder to cut cleanly unless you are an expert (I'm not), but it came undamaged and was easy to drill and shape and turned out to be a nice little lock down project.

Buy with caution.
It's not really exactly 12 by 12 by 0.118, what I got from the measurement is 11.75" by 11 7/8" by 1/8". If you have a Deep Cool Tesserac BK, you would know that this sheet is exactly the size of the side outer panel of the case. For what I use, it is plenty (a small form factor computer case mod). But be warned if you want exactly 12 by 12, which is not really possible since you have include the margin of error, in this case it would be a max of 5.93% at the thickness. while the rest is only less than 2.08%, which are both respectable results.I don't know how they got my other address, but it seems like when I put down an order with them in the city I am in, the tracking information is showing my other address. Fast delivery (less than 24 hours), but creepy tracking info.

The plastic detaches much more easily which is not desirable for my application
The delivery was amazingly fast. It came as advertised.Only two drawbacks (hence two lost stars): 1- the protective layer was plastic. Usually, for cast acrylic, it is a form of paper covering and not plastic. The plastic detaches much more easily which is not desirable for my application. This made me even doubt if it is really cast or it may be indeed extruded because that is the type that comes with the plastic covering usually.Second: too expensive compared to the market price. Later on, I got a 5.5 mm cast acrylic sheet from a local store and it was considerably cheaper than the price here (indeed less than half the price despite nearly two times increased thickness).Other than these, the promise was fulfilled and I was pleasantly surprised to receive the package in less than 24 hours.

Received frosted plastic, NOT clear
What I received was frosted, not clear. I double-checked all the descriptions to make sure I didn't miss anything, but everywhere it does indeed say clear, which I guess is 'technically' correct (as the acrylic is not tinted or opaque) but you definitively can't see through it unless you put it right against whatever you want to see.Thankfully that was 'okay' for what I intended to do with it, but it's still very disappointing.

Not solid enough for a dance pad :(
I made a dance pad with 9 of those acrylic sheets, thinking that it would be enough to support someone weight but the material is way too flexible and bends too much for the plates to be comfortable and to work well with my set-up.This could be what you are looking for, in my case it does not suit my needs after testing it.

Exactly what I needed!
I'm modding a new PC case and needed some clear acrylic sheets for my project. Problem is...they're so expensive in-store! So i looked and sound these. Easy to work with. Bending with heat is easy as well, protected with paper on both sides during fabrication to prevent scratches. Thanks for the great price and product!

Perfect for what I need it for. Didn't order enough though. Covered in plastic on both sides (removable) zero scratches, Same size both pieces I ordered. Needed it to cover most of my window for a portable air conditioner but still needed the window open to let the hot air out. My window is the non compatible one but made it work :)

Not quite 12x12
Just over 11.5 inches by 11.5 inches, not 12x12 as listed. This isn't lumber that is kiln dried and shrinks. Needed 12 inches long so it kind of puts hold on plans.Good quality acrylic though. Will keep to use for something else and order a larger sheet.

Please change the description of the item! The true size is 11 3/4" x 11 3/4"!! 3-star rating because of this. The material came unscratched and with protective film on both sides. Would have given 5 stars if it would have been the indicated size.

The dimensions are very wrong, but works for my use case
The Acrylic sheet I received was 30cm x 30cm x 3mm not 12ft x 12ft x 0.118in. However That didn't matter since it works better for my use case.

Product is as described. The size may not be exact so read the other reviews of it needs to be exact.It also comes with protective scratch covers which is nice but mine still came with a scratch.
