One of the problems with new technology is that old tech disappears and you are left with media you can no longer access.I have loads of old sentimental mix tapes and voice recordings that I could no longer listen to. Until I came across this convertor.I can now listen directly to my old tapes and convert them to digital MP3 files, which hopefully will now be hardware future proof.The convertor itself works great. It has an aux plug for headphones or speakers so can be used as an old school Walkman. Headphones are included.It comes with a usb cable but be warned it is 500ma not 1A of most modern mobile phone plugs.The front door is a little flimsy but if you are careful it should last especially of you are only going to use it to convert your old tapes.It takes a usb flash drive to record onto. Simply insert tape press record on the back of unit. Then press play on the tape. It will record. Easy.Another nice function is you can listen to music direct off your 32gb usb drive as well.I'm over the moon to be able to recover my tapes especially old recordings of family that are long gone.

Construction a bit flimsy and markings on recording system buttons on the back of the player are difficult to read.Good that it can be powered from a USB socket, avoids having to change batteries frequently. Difficult to judge sound quality as source audio cassettes don't have top quality sound.Bought this to copy 200+ cassettes to mp3 format and it does the job easily. The auto partitioning function doesn't always get it right, usually one or two songs on a cassette will be combined into one mp3 file so software is required to split the file.Not perfect but it does the job I bought it for so no major complaints.

The media could not be loaded. I bought PiDiEn cassette tape to MP3 converter and unpackaged it yesterday.Connected it to usb power from laptop and tested.. it worked well initially. I followed the instructions as per the manual. Inserted a casette tape and usb formatted to recommended “fat” The usb picked up the recordings perfectly. I was very pleased!!! BUT...The fault was that the tape stopped after 15 minutes. The usb continued recording blank.The fault was that the tape spools winders don’t spin... while I can hear the motor running in the background. So I guess some problem with the mechanics. I even made sure that there was no fault in the casette itself and it played well on my other players and the tape roll is loose and not stuck.So it was great while it worked which was for 15 min... now going in the bin!!To be fair.. it could be an individual product issue... but i have not abused the product and this happened in the first 15-20 min of using... so it could potentially happen to anyone!! I was disappointed!

This is a cheap and cheerful device that does what it says. You need no software. I wanted to transfer a bunch of tapes of a music programme that I had recorded 15 or more years ago and now have them on a USB stick. I can play this on various devices. Sound is fine. You are not comparing it with a CD played on a good hifi but it is perfectly acceptable.You need to read the instructions as to what the different buttons do. Then you are away.There are some gremlins which may be particular to my machine or more general.The interaction with your USB stick can vary as between different models. For instance, I found that when I used a 32GB sandisk blade, the recording consistently stopped after about 26 mins and this was the case with each tape. I then tried an older TDK 8GB USB stick and this worked perfectly, taping both sides. I would recommend that you use the continuous mode (i.e. tape keeps playing back and forth) and do the recording while you are present rather than setting it to record and going out. For some reason the device can continue to record even when the tape has stopped and this will eat up your usb stick. This is not a big deal if you have a computer and can delete big files but if not, then it would be a nuisance.One more recent gremlin I have come across is that there are some tiny cuts in the recording. For music it is just a couple of note but you can lose a word or half a word and this would be irritating. As a result I am going to reduce the rating to 3 stars.I would also recommend using mains. Batteries are a waste of money and this device seems heavy on them.

I just love this device! My wife has a collection of "Wake Up To Wogan" cassette tapes, covering several years which we used to play on long car journeys - and still laugh at! Only there is no cassette player in the new car. This unit is simple to use and works without a hitch. It can be powered by either 2 x AA batteries or using the power lead included, which connects to any USB socket on your PC/Laptop or mains USB adaptor. Plug in a USB memory stick, press play and the recording is transferred as an mp3 file to the stick. There are the usual controls for fast forward/reverse and additional buttons for auto/manual reverse. I just put in a C90 tape in and let it run for the 1½ hours on auto reverse. There is also a very clever additional feature, which I haven't tried yet, which will detect separate tracks (say a pre-recorded cassette album) and save each track as a separate file. OK, it's built to a budget and the instructions are typical mangled translation from the original Chinese (and incorrect!) but it works perfectly and is fun to use.

Me gusta todo en general. Quizás a puristas del sonido no les convenza, pero para mi es perfecto para recuperar y pasar a mp3 mis viejas cintas guardadas en cajas. Va muy bien, sin necesidad de PC. Con una memoria flash usb va perfectamente

Ottimo apparecchio, funziona benissimo ed è molto semplice da usare. Se le audiocassette sono in buone condizioni, il risultato èmolto buono.Contrariamente a quanto scrivono altri recensori, anche gli auricolari sono di ottima qualità. Non so cosa si possa pretendere ad un prezzocosì basso. Sono completamente soddisfatto del mio acquisto.

その後、テープが回転しなくなり故障として2台目を送っていただいたのですが、その2台目ももっと早いタイミング（2本目の録音時）でテープがまわらなくなってしまいました。まったく使い物になりません。以下に対する訂正です。下記記事を投降後、再度、動作確認をしたところ、おおむね正常に録音されていることを確認しました。出来上がったファイルがPC上で再生できなかったり、雑音だらけだったのは当方のPCの設定の方に問題があって、いろいろ調べた結果というか、午後のコーダがなぜか二つ入っていることに気づき、一方を削除すると問題が解決したていました。（理由の解明までは至っていません。）改めて、評価しなおすと説明通りに機能していて、１本分のテープを一度セットしておけばオートリバースの働きもあり勝手に録音して、テープが終われば、自動的に録音がオフになるのは非常に便利です。あえて苦言を言えば、見た目がちゃちな感じ(耐久性についてはまだわかりませんが）で、操作性にも絡むが、USBメモリ側のボタンが小さくかつ黒色に凹み文字のため極めて見にくいことなどがあります。結論としては十分に使えるものでした。以下、当初記載記事を残しておきます。USBメモリにほぼ自動で録音できるというは便利なはずですが、出来上がった音声ファイルは雑音に楽曲がうまっていて使い物になりません。出品側に問い合わせても満足な回答が得られなかったので諦めました。幸いというべきかイヤホンジャックからPCに通した音だけは使えるので、面倒ではあるがフリーソフトを使ってPC上で録音するための機械として残すこととしました。

Sólo hay que echarle horas, porque si se quiere hacer bien, se necesita un trabajo posterior de editado con el software Audacity. El manejo no es difícil pero tampoco sencillo, hay que leer las instrucciones que vienen únicamente en inglés. Teóricamente permite grabar cada canción en un archivo, pero esto no siempre funciona y a menudo genera archivos con 2 ó 3 canciones, que luego hay que cortar con Audacity, así como eliminar los fragmentos sin sonido al inicio y final de cada cara del casette. Tiene sistema auto reverse y permite grabar ambas caras de cada casette de un tirón. Muy recomendable.
