Bought these pens to specifically use with watercolour paints and on kraft paper. I have a set of fine liners by a different company which cost the same price as these for 3 pens but they bleed on kraft paper; these Uni Pin pens however do not bleed. They are also waterproof, so perfect with watercolour paints without running into the paint/water.Have attached an image of a painting I did with firstly outlining the image with the pens and then going over with watercolour.

Great ink pens!
Brilliant quality illustration pens. As a professional illustrator specialising in pen & ink illustrations for HarperCollins and Penguin I always use these for the clarity of line and the great saturation of colour. They don't fade and are waterproof too so brilliant to use for colour illustrations as well where a watercolour or acrylic wash can be painted on top of the pen line. Love the graduations of size too (.005 to 08), though I have had to use a different pen for a finer .003 line. Great ink pens, highly recommended for professional and amateurs alike!

Great quality pens
I have used a lot of different fine liner pens and these were the cheapest I have bought. But they are probably the second best. The 0.05 is fantastic, allowing me to draw extremely fine detail. I haven't had a nib this small before and now I wonder how I ever managed! The ink is good quality, though not as black as some of my other pigment pens. It is black enough for most uses though and comes quite close to my current India ink. I can see it isn't quite as dark but you would need to be very close to notice.I have used watercolour over them, diluted India ink over them and alcohol over them and they have neither smudged nor lifted in the slightest.I will happily buy these again, which is the highest recommendation I can give.

Just what I wanted
I had wanted to replace some previous uniball 0.1 pens in the Grey and sepia colours that had run out after a year of heavy use. I couldn't buy them anywhere either individually or find the original set to buy again. Really pleased I found this, I now have two nib sizes in those colours plus a super super fine 0.03 sized black which I had never seen before and is absolutely perfect for my needs and a nice brush pen, ( which I need more practice with). For those who don't know pen sizes, a fineliner is usually a 0.3 or 0.4 sized nib, most writing pens are usually 0.7, a 'fine' pen being about 0.5. The smallest nib sizes I can find (without going to a specialist), are usually advertised for technical drawing, and are 0.1 and 0.05. This pack has 3 colours in 0.1 and 0.5 a black in 0.03 and a brush pen.Photo has a standard biro just for comparison, not included obviously.

Good quality pens to draw in, and for this price, they are incredible.
0.1 to 0.8 is a great range. I use them to create logos and pop-art-like designs. The lines they leave are bold and black (not wishy-washy black, like you get with some pens), giving my designs a clean finish. Dries very quickly, I haven't found a problem with smudging: but ensure you leave your work to dry for about a minute before you rub out any pencil outlines. I've only been using this set for about a week now, but I've used uni pin before and found they last for absolutely ages. I highly recommend.

The metal on the lid started to smell weird after a while otherwise these are incredible
These lasted for almost two years and I used them almost every other day. In fact half of them still work but the thinner ones dried out at the end of last year. I draw neotraditional and comic style art and I use thick outlines on my work, and this brand of ink is incredible! It dries almost immediately so it doesn't smudge and my alcohol based pens doesn't merge with the ink. I tried watercolour on top of it and the black didn't hold up as well but honestly I semi expected it- I then drew on top of the colour but it ruined one of my pens by drying it up.They're comfortable to hold, the pen tips don't break or bend with pressure, the ink is pitch black and struggles to run, and they lasted me a long time. The ONLY thing I don't like is how the metal on the lid started to smell weird after a while. It doesn't affect the product or anything but I hate touching metal as it is, so any that smells make me uncomfortable. Other than that these are perfect and I already own a second pack!

We came back for more
These are intended as a Christmas gift for my Daughter who is at Art college. She has used these before, for her favourite side line, which is drawing and digitising Bird illustrations. She produces wonderful pictures that are then printed on all kinds of merchandise via her purveyors site. This pack contains a good range of nib thicknesses and the pens last a reasonable length of time. Certainly, a good cheaper option to things like refillable Rotring Isograph drawing pens which tend to dry up and clog during storage in my experience and especially in the narrower sizes. They are good enough that we come back for more when she needs them and at £1.26 per pen they are cheap enough. The only down side is the plastic packaging and single use plastic pen bodies.

Very very bad
I purchased two different pack of nib sizes. 0.1 to 0.8 and other 0.5 -1.2. Its been 2 just months and I didn't get much time to draw with all the pens. Soon last week I realised 7 of them dont work. I have Faber Castell Pitt and they still work beautifully even though I've had it for over 7 months. Very very annoyed considering I've never used them. I will tell eveyone to please look elsewhere. These are not worth spending your money.
