TamagotchiUni - Purple

I’m obsessed! I absolutely love my Uni. I’ve had it for a couple years now but finally decided to make a review.1. Build quality is pretty nice. I haven’t had any issues with wear or tear. No scratches or dings on the device. I do use a screen protector and silicone case.2. Ease of use. It’s easy to learn and understand the basic functions. Whether you’re a newbie tama owner or pro, this device is easy to use and a lot of fun.3. Value for money. When I ordered mine, it was about $45 so the price has dropped a few bucks since the release which is nice. For a device that has so many features, I find the price to be fair and on point.4. Connectivity. Connecting to a WiFi network is easy. Imputing the codes for items, tamaverse tickets, and passwords is tedious but just something you have to deal with.5. Battery life. Not too bad. I find that I plug it in about once every couple days and I use it all day long. It charges quickly as well and it’s still playable while charging which is very nice. It takes a USB-C cable which is included with the device.Overall I give this version a 10/10. I’m a die-hard tamagotchi fan so I can’t find much that I dislike about it. The tama itself is easy to care for compared to the original. I have an On (in photo) as well which I find more difficult to care for and keep happy while the Uni stays happy and full for much longer.Would I recommend this to a first time tamagotchi user? Absolutely! Will I buy another? I probably will not since the Paradise is coming out in July. I’m saddened to have passed on ordering the Sanrio and Monster Carnival/Angel versions since they’re now super expensive but I’m happy with what I have and plan to continue to play with it for years to come.

I've only ever written a couple reviews in my life. But I had to write a review for this item. It's a 4-star for now because I only bought it 1 week ago. So we'll see how it does over the next few months. I'm one of those people that had a Tamagotchi back in the 2000s and I loved it. I still have the original version of the Tamagotchi Connection that's in great condition just needs a battery. So when my 10yrs old child didn't know what they wanted for their birthday I decided to research the different versions of the Tamagotchi. I was going to get the Tamagotchi that incorporated Pokémon Eeve because they love Pokémon. But it was way too small and in Japanese not English.The biggest pro for the Tamagotchi Uni from my days:1. Rechargeable battery with a USB cord (I'm not sure if some of the newer versions have this too). No more having to replace the battery.2. It's in colour not black and white (some other versions have colour)3. It's come with a wrist band so it can be worn like a watch.4. It's not too needy (it was left at home while they were at school and was still alive).5. It has the Tamaverse where you can connect with other Tamagotchi around the world.6. You can dress it up, decorate the house, win or buy items, go on walks, to the mall etc.7. Hire a babysitter if you're going to be too busy.Cons for me:1. Not touch screen.2. Seems to only have 2 volume modes (on or off, can't really adjust the volume).2. It doesn't come with a keychain if you want to put it on your bag (but not really necessary because it has a wristband).I'm going to leave it at that for now.

It arrived in just 1 day in perfect condition. I'm glad I read other reviews about the screen scratching. I bought some screen protectors and it's perfect. The screen is very soft so I would highly recommend protecting it before use. I was nervous when I read others arrived damaged but I didn't have that issue. The initial setup is easy. I've only ever had original tamagotchis so this upgrade is very exciting. I ordered the pink one as well after trying out the purple
