I had this as a recording on TV. So knew what to expect. Will be able to watch it anytime and anywhere now.An excellent 👌🏻 truer story of them…. Just keep expecting to hear all the songs.

Not as good as I thought it would be but it is supposed to be a true story of the Von Trapp family. But I prefer the sound of music

Knew nothing about this film until just over a week ago so decided to buy it on Amazon marketplace, arrived well before the estimated date. Played it last night in the cinema and enjoyed it so much, a more authentic telling of the Von Trapp family than the famous musical, think it is now on my favourite films list which is a hard list to achieve, having been a cinema projectionist for many years, I can’t think how many films I’ve watched in my life. Worth buying.

Really enjoyed this dvd. It was really interesting to find out the true story behind the Sound of Music. Well worth watching.

We enjoyed watching this well acted and well paced film. It gives us a sense of insight into the reality behind the story in the "Sound of Music", albeit it raises some questions regarding some of the differences both with the other film and also some other biographical accounts.

Based on the book by the eldest daughter, which makes this film extremely realistic. Shows how the family, being interested in music, ended in the "show business" and how the father (which is true) opposed this even if he knew they needed it to survive.

As a Big fan of the Sound of Music I was unsure how this film would contrast. Honestly, I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Not only was it well acted but the music & storyline were excellent. It has left me not only wanting to read the book it is based on but also to visit Salzburg again to see the beautiful locations shown in the film.
