Use it on the counter to.put hot pan so counter won't burn. I put in the bottom of a pan of boiling water to boil eggs so they won't bounce around and break. I have put it on paper towel and used it to let grease drain off fried food.

My old faithful v-shaped roasting rack gave out on me, and I've been using makeshift methods to roast. I saw this silicon version, and decided to give it a try.It stands about 1 1/2" tall with lots of holes for the meat juices to flow through in cooking. I made it work for a roaster chicken. (My one desire would be one that's a little larger.)Clean up is fairly easy, even with the nooks and crannies IF you put it in soak right away. I think that's the key. Get all the bits off, then put it in the dishwasher.It looks like a great hot pot trivet, but I haven't used it for that as well. It's a good size for that. For the price, it's a good value.

Originally I got this to use in my air-fryer. However it works very well as holder for steaming eggs. It’s quite versatile and works great for all kinds of cooking uses. It keeps meats at the perfect height to prevent burning and also holding up large vegetables when steaming in a dutch oven or instant pot.
