For an emergency chair, it's supposed to be easy to use and secure - this particular item was neither. It's very ergonomically challenged. Although the only damaged part was non-essential to the function of the chair itself, what the damage reveals about the quality of the chair doesn't inspire confidence. The seat-belts lock in theory but after adjusting them for security, they would shortly loosen on their own.The only thing this chair has going for itself is the traction belt underneath it which grips the stairs pretty well and the "tire" breaks to keep the chair steady.Returning item and going with something less clunky.

Easy to move down but takes more effort to move a person up the stairs

This video doesn't show it actually working! I would need to see a person in the chair, being brought done the stairs. We have five steps down to the sidewalk, which is becoming impossible for my husband to negotiate. I would need to see if one or more persons are needed, as well. It's too expensive to go thru the hassle of buying it when I can't picture how it works. Missed opportunity. You had it right there, but don't show it being used. Phooey.
