Ball of Destruction
It took me a while to get in to New York Hardcore having come up through Minor Threat, the Bad Brains, Rollins, Dischord, etc. I always liked the gang image of the bands but an early foray in to NYHC with Agnostic Front's 'Cause for Alarm' with it's anti-welfare/immigrant lyrics put me off. However, after hearing 'For My Enemies' I checked out Madball. The 'Legacy ' album is seldom off my car or gym stereo. Yes it continues in a similar vein to earlier outings (particularly 'Hold It Down') but whether that's a bad thing depends on your view of Hardcore generally. The production is awesome - the sound is heavy, clear & crisp - the lyrics have some of the classic NYHC themes of loyalty, scene unity, pride, etc & the riffs rock! This album has more musical ideas than a lot of Madball's contempories. I'd recommend this as a good primer for anyone who wants to check out NYHC or anyone familiar with Hatebreed, Throwdown, Terror, etc. This is Madball's best album to date. Back for the crown.

Classic Hardcore
This album was a classic the day it came off the presses. This is hardcore, and how it should be, with a double kick drum bouncing you head from side to side. There are the traditional great guitar riffs that will have you running around like a `mad man'. The lyrics have the usual unity meanings and how being part of a minority it is always hard, no matter what that minority is. The vocals are sung/shouted with heart and passions that can only be found when you believe hole heartedly. If you love hardcore you will already own this, if you have never heard of hardcore but want a true explanation then this is the album is for you.

The Masters Return
Right from the off this album is just sheer brilliance. Keeping the NYHC true to what it is. Madball deliver superb riffs brutal druming and vocals that combined make your hairs stand on end. No wonder the likes of Terror and Hatebreed take their influences from such an amazing band, Madball never disapoint and never falter from the true hardcore sound. If you love your hardcore, metal or punk this is a must buy.

Hardcore at it's best
If you are looking for an intense hardcore sound from a band then look no further. From the start of the first song this band plays harsh and heavy with unrelenting power that grabs you from start to finish. This album proves just how talented Madball are and they are certainly not a band to be dismissed. If you like heavy and powerful music then this an album not to be missed !
