Great for the student teacher
This book is an accessible read covering a range of equality issues. If I had this when I was an undergraduate doing teacher training, it would have helped me unpack some of the concepts. What I liked was being able to dip into chapters, read them once and understand what it means rather than reading things over and over and with a dictionary, thesaurus and other decoding tools and still being confused.

A good book but timely delivery a problem...
So we ordered this book on the 28th April, 2013 and the delivery date was about ten days, a bit long but its a newer book so we guess it was just demand. On the 10th June (after twelve days) we received an email from Amazon saying it was now not going to be delivered until the beginning of July (a month away and a month and a half after our order)... what sort of service is that? It's failure to fulfill the intent of the contract (though not the letter of the contract, I am certain, given Amazon's lawyers)... needless to say we went to the local bookshop. We also discovered we only had to pay fifty pence more to walk out of the shop with it there and then! Win for us, fail for Amazon. The book itself though is very good and gets a definite recommendation from us so, if you can get it, definitely do so, especially if it's the sort of thing that you need!
