This seller seems unable to deliver the product.
I have used this item for about a dozen years since I first received one as "swag" from a company for which I then worked. It's a great backpack/daypack. A little heavy, but has lots of pockets, sound zippers, good straps, two pockets for laptop/tablet-sized computers -- overall just terrific. Eventually, of course, some of the materials wore out, but well within a reasonable lifetime. To replace my old one I ordered an exact copy of the new one -- from the seller but via Amazon. The first time the seller sent the item halfway across the country to the wrong location (don't ask me how -- I'm on the West Coast, the item ended up in Texas). Amazon credited me without complaint.I was on a tight timeline, so I ordered another one (at the recommendation of Amazon: essentially just forget the misdirected one and try again). In a hurry I ordered and payed for expedited shipping (which Amazon tells me they will credit me for when all is said and done). The second one, based on tracking information provided by the seller, was supposed to show up tonight (I'm leaving on a trip early tomorrow morning). Tracking shows the item was "ordered" then "shipped" and was about to be "out for delivery" to arrive before 8 pm tonight. Just now I updated the tracking information and now it shows that the item is actually expected to be delivered a week from now, but "We’re sorry for the delay. If you have not received your package by July 23 [today is the 17th of July], you can come back here the next day for a refund." Furthermore, when I go to Amazon and search for the item I now find: "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."Great item. If you can find it. Seller is absolutely terrible. Makes promises it can't fulfill and, for all I know, may not even carry this item, which I've now purchased twice. I hesitate to use the word "liar" because I may lack all the information to reliably apply such label. On the other hand, data and inference lead me to be comfortable in describing the seller as such.Caveat emptor.Follow-up: 05 August 2024. The problem may be with the seller (eleven) or it may be with the deliverer: Mini Max Retail. A USPS tracking number was cut on 15 July 2024 but the USPS is still waiting for the deliverer to make the item available to USPS. Amazon customer support has been very responsive -- they are processing a full refund to me without issue, so their side of the order fulfillment has respect for the customer. The provider and the deliverer seem not to have any.
