Simply awesome drills, the best there is.
Absolutely fantastic drills that can cut there way though some of the hardest high alloyed steels out there, I actually used this to cut and drill through D2 tool steel and CPM 3V many times with out any sights of ware both were hardened and the D2 was 62 HRC and the 3V was at 65 HRC, I’ve also drilled through a drop forged chrome vanadium socket out of a socket set. The drills are also perfectly centred and are ground and not rolled so there is no deviation or wabble and they are of the highest manufactured quality. Now down to the bad part. Because Tungsten carbide tipped drills are not all one single peace of carbide the drills have to be tipped with carbide inserts which are brazed in which is a form of gas welding and the filler & binder- the stuff that binds the carbide to the steel is usually brass or some alloy that can be melted under a flame and because brass is a relatively low temperature melting alloy and the fact drills produce a great deal of heat - well you can see where I’m going with this can’t you, the sintred carbide actually melts the brazed brass and the carbide insert detaches from the drill it’s self so coolant or a flow of cutting fluid/oil is a MUST with carbide tipped drills but these ones use a high temperature copper based welding filler so it’s harder to break the bond and also copper gets work hardened but it still won’t effect these drills because you will be using coolant or cutting & drilling compound/oil as you should with any drill as it will keep your drill in peak performance and will aid in stopping your drill from wearing out and also help to get rid of the swarf or drilling tailings there for increasing cutting and drilling performance.

Fantastic drill bits at a cheap price
I had a lock that we had lost the keys for in a patio door. Normal drill bits melted like cheese. Unfortunately the drill snatched and I broke one, this was probably bad luck as the second bit drilled the lock with ease. Awesome drill bit has cut so clean we can still use the lock until the new one comes as the external still needs a key to unlock it and I can use a screwdriver to lock and unlock from inside 😉 Seemed to work best at high speed and steady pressure.

They look good
Not actually used these yet . Ordered then for drilling out some 10.2 countersunk bolts that had the allen hex chewed up . I usually use a cobolt drill but that can take a while .Am a qualified machinist and they look very well made to me the profile of the drill tip is basically what I would have had to mess around grinding a standard wall drill to , to do this job . Will update once i have had to use them.
