Cucinare Kitchen Carving Spiked Meat Tray, Stainless Steel, 14" by 10"

My husband does the carving and said he likes it very much for chicken, beef roast, etc. He likes having the meat to stay secure, not sliding around on the platter, lol. The drippings are kept contained in the grooved bottom of the tray, which helps with the clean-up. (I save some in a cup for gravy) It's getting lots of use!

I could hear my knife edge grinding against the steel of the tray from the very first cut of the very first roast.. I'm sure this wasn't doing my carving knife any good (and the steel tray is already scratched pretty badly after just one use). And the little steel spikes seem rather superfluous (there's an item called a "fork" that one can hold in one's non-carving hand to hold the meat steady while carving).Oh, and the photos (and the text) make this thing seem like it's all shiny and beautiful and you'd be proud to use it to serve your guests.. umm, no. It's an ugly gun-metal gray; you won't want to use it at the dinner table unless you're the cook in a state prison.

Very nice platter. I like the pins and the covers for them. Just 2 in family so it is more than large enough for us. Platter is not too heavy but is heavy enough to have a solid feel to it. The finish is nice enough to maybe hang on the wall as deco. I will probably buy another for a gift soon.

I have already put this to use. It works out great. Only drawback is it is easy to cut yourself on the spikes if you really are not careful. It is good for a med to average roast. any larger you may have a issue with it fitting properly. It has really worked great for me so far. Easy to clean wth the exception of the sharp spikes.

Delivered on time in good condition. Wish it was a little larger.
