Having loved Thatch for as long as I can remember I was very keen to read this book.I found it very well written and very informative.I would recommend it to any lover of thatch or owner or prospective owner of thatch.

Weve just been lucky enough to move to a 17c Barn with thatched roof and 50 ft lounge - no pressure there then. So purchased for my husband (a building surveyor). The publication was recommended in his professional journal - so no pressure.His thought it was very good as a reference point.

If you are considering buying a thatched property then this book will be money well spent. The most upto date book on the subject that I could find.

lovely read, nice photos, not a instructional book on thatching, more for the homeowner or those with a general interest in thatch

Not quite what I expected however still found it useful and an interesting read. But its not for the DIY`er

Just as described in every way.
