The Best Energy Bar, Period.
I eat a lot of energy and protein bars. I travel a lot and often they're the only food I get for hours. I have tried a lot of different bars and my previous favorites have been from Quest, but the Quest bar consistency and freshness vary substantially from batch to batch. I decided to try the Redd Peanut Butter Superfood Energy Bar on a whim, not expecting much. I had never heard of them before, but with the first bite I knew I had found a new favorite. I have now been through four boxes and am not tired of them yet, nor have I experienced any quality difference between batches. The bars are 230 calories and have 10 grams of protein; they're gluten free and have 36 mg of caffeine (which is about a third of a cup of coffee), so they provide a minor energy boost. (I am fairly caffeine sensitive so I don't eat them before bed.)They contain 11 superfoods and 23 vitamins and minerals, and are stunningly delicious. A bar is filling and has a chewy, soft consistency and delicious taste making them the most palatable energy bars I have ever eaten. If there is a downside it's that they contain 29 grams of carbohydrate per bar (14 grams of sugars) which is higher than I generally like to consume. Another drawback is that they are somewhat more expensive than most protein or energy bars, but in my opinion the nutritional balance and taste more than justifies the price.I think these bars are great and continue to reorder them. Give them a try; I think you'll love them!

Perfect for a quick bite in the a.m. and for a grab-and-go snack
Eating healthy has become a capital expense. And since I'm "gainfully unemployed" on SSDI, I am very, very circumspect about where every dollar goes. Yes, these are expensive relative to "Little Debbies," no doubt. However, they are a solid purchase.I can bear little more than black coffee in the a.m., just not much of a breakfast guy lol. Whatever. These are perfect in the a.m. for me. Given the "au natural" ingredients, you'd be surprised that they do taste pretty good (not Entenmenns, mind you, but that's what got me to this point in the first place ;)).These are made of legit "superfood" ingredients, with those ingredients you'd reasonably hope to be organic as being organic (I generally make a superfood smoothie in the afternoon). These are nutritionally balanced, but they're not a replacement for a multivitamin (not for me, anyway). They do have guarana, which adds a bit of an energy boost.Back to the price. You're talking $2.25 or so a bar. That puts in on par with much of what you'd pay for at, say Starbucks. I've done quite a bit of comparison shopping for exactly this type of product (on Amazon and at local grocery stores), and I think it's sound. There's another brand I do like as well, and I'll likely alternate back and forth, but I do intend to reorder these in particular.

Flavors
The Peanut Butter flavor is excellent. The Salted Carmel tastes like actual vomit. I have a high tolerance for bad taste for the sake of nutrition, but the Salted Carmel is not edible. Even when it’s all I packed to eat on a trip for breakfast, I chose to go hungry. Sad to waste the money and throw away an entire box.

Delivered on flavor, quality of ingredients, and texture
Texture, texture, texture! Having grown up an athlete, I have tried countless performance bars, chews, and gels. When I realized the negative effects animal-based protein bars were having on my performance, I sought out vegan bars. However, bars on the market were saturated in isolates and questionable ingredient labels that left me feeling bloated and sluggish. Upon trying R.E.D.D. I was thrilled with the Macro's, probiotic blend, superfood blend, and texture that didn't leave me wondering if the product was lodged in my teeth 12 hours later. The bar has a crispy mint flavor that doesn't leave residue in your mouth or a chemical sensation in the back of your throat. Lastly, the protein ratio is perfect for pre, during, and post-workout. I highly recommend fitting this into your fitness or everyday regime!

Yet another unfortunate allergen-free food bar reformulation
Having found the old recipe very good ( best rank ) , from ingredients to flavors ( but the added caffeine a drawback for caffeine restriction ) , the reformulation ( to off-putting murky flavor ) and disappearance of other allergen-free bars in recent years drew my re-visit. Sadly, the so to say, keto-ic new recipe seems yet another failed attempt by some very good bars, to meet the somewhat changed market, rather than perhaps better publicize the old one on its whole foods and organic and flavorful recipe, even if altered somewhat for keto / paleo. At its affordable price, they seem to be yet again getting something wrong that for example, the Perfect Bars do not. Keto ( diet ) is fine is some circumstances, when bars have more familiar “food-flavor” fats. The nutrition of whole gluten-free oats and chocolate chips, and the rest of the ingredients is very good in others ( intense physical activity ) . Perhaps this review would lead to a return of at least the original oatmeal variety, if not also without the added caffeine ? Unlikely I would guess. The allergic would welcome it, with nearly all alternatives having vanished for some time.

Gluten and soy free and tastes great!
This review is for the Peanut Butter flavor only. It is very hard to find an energy bar that is gluten free and soy free and these are. I originally tasted them at a New Season's tasting event. I tried all the flavors and have to say the peanut butter was the best. These are really good and fill you up for a couple hours, which is great for my job as I never know when I will have time to eat.
