The VFD works well once it is set up. Only complaint with the machine is that the internal fan runs all the time if there is power on the unit. The manual, on the other hand is horrible. Between being written by non-english speaking persons and the complexity of the programming, it is very difficult to understand how to program the unit for even a straight forward operation like an air compressor. It lists many functions that can be adjusted but makes no attempt to explain why you might want to adjust it and uses very technical terms describe them. Maybe someone with an electrical engineering degree would understand why you would need some of the more in depth programming that is possible with this unit. I did not, and I'm pretty electrically savvy. I spent a lot of time looking at videos and discussion forums to learn how to do what I needed. It is NOT something a non technical novice would want to attempt without help.

For the price it can be beat. IT is not plug and play you need to know a little about vfd's to get it to work properly. All in all I am happy with it so I bought another for my milling machine.

Total garbage. Made 2 loud pops on first start. Upon investigating, many of the components inside the unit are recycled semiconductors and the IGBT module was a re-used and dirty Danfoss part. The MOSFET in the picture is supposed to have a metal backing but appeared to be broken and chewed by a beaver through the recycling process. With recycled components, who knows how long it will last, and some like the MOSFET are discontinued so you will be unable to find parts when it does fail, if it does not catch fire first.

Works as expected.
