MARATHON Atomic Full Calendar Clock with Extra Large Digits Indoor and Outdoor Temperature

Very disapointed...
I love the clock. It has a great display, its a great size and very easy to read. I would have given this product 5 stars and recommended it to anyone. However spending $100 on a clock, I expect it to last quite a while. My outdoor sensor has been on the fritz for months and now finally just stopped working all togehter. There are no options to buy just the outdoor sensor and the clock without the outside temperature is kind of useless to me. So to buy another clock to just get the sensor would be an incredible waste of money. I would love if Marathon would stand behind their products because this would easily be a 5 star review if my sensor worked properly.

WWV Time sync does not work properly
I am an advanced class Ham radio operator, and have several atomic clocks in my home. This one was purchased to replace one that I had owned for several years that finally failed. It hangs on a wall in the exact same place as the one it replaced. I have never had an issue with any of my atomic clocks capturing the WWV signal and remaining in sync after they initial set. The only time any have lost capture with any of them is when I change batteries. This clock is very attractive and easy to see thanks to its large size. It does however do a very poor job of capturing the WWV radio signal that sets the time, and even once it does it wont keep in sync for more than 24 hours before it looses sync again. Once set the time remains accurate even after loss of sync but it bugs me when it looses sync while all my other atomic clocks remain in high spec mode.I have identified two locations in my house where I can move the clock to early in the morning and manually scan in order to get it to sync, but that too is hit and miss. In reading other reviews of this clock I find others have also experienced poor sync performance as well. Since this is a primary feature of this clock I would expect better performance. In my case I am sure it is nothing to do with my home since I have other clocks that sync just fine, and the location where it is installed is the same location where an older atomic clock hung for years and it always kept in sync just fine.If you are a bit OCD asI am and expect things to work as they should then you perhaps should look elsewhere and select a clock that works as it should. If you don't mind setting it manually, or having to jiggle the handle daily to help it stay in sync then this may be OK. The remote outside temperature sensor also has issues with staying connected . I moved the outside unit from the same location where the old one has been for years to a different location much closer to the clock and it now stays connected.

Reattly BIG display
I love the super-sized display. It was easier to set up than any other clock/indoor-outdoor thermometer I have had. I like the feature that if it should "lose" the outdoor sensor I can push a clearly labelled button on back and it will find the sensor. Because of the nature of the building materials and distance, every indoor/outdoor I have ever owned loses the outdoor sensor occasionally. My wife was a little overwhelmed by the size of the display, so I suggest you consider that in your decision.

Atomic Clock or Crock of sh...
We bought this atomic clock because of its features (auto times set, easy-to-read, slim look and weather temp) in April 2020. It came with cheap batteries so we replaced those with fresh Duracell batteries. Since then, the clock had stopped working (lost time) TWICE. My husband had to remove the batteries to reset it. Today (9/24/29), the clock lost the time. It currently reads: May 5 9:22 PM and it’s 7:07 PM. I was ready to return this clock but to my dismay, Amazon Prime return expired in June 2020. My husband took out the owner’s manual and found that the clock has a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty which is great! Anyway, he removed the batteries and reseated them and the clock auto set itself. We’ll see how long it takes for the next time this happens.

Worked fine for a few days, then I could not read certain numerals.
I bought this last November, install it, works. Went on vacation for 3 mos and when I got back I notice 2 segments of the led numerals were not coming on so I reset and reinstall. Did'nt work. The 90 days return policy expired and could not return it. So I'm stuck.

Remote sensor reports way off temperature (Revised)
The sensor does not report accurate temperature. I happened to order an extra remote sensor and tried it as well. The same problem. They reported bogus temperatures that are at least 5-9 degrees different from other similar clocks I have at home. I have 3 different brands and they all reported within 1, 2 degrees different within each other but this clock reported the worst and ridiculous temperature. I even compared with online and Alexa reported temperature so if you only have this one clock, you won't be able to see what I saw.Revised (11-14): it turned out that the location of where you put the sensor is extremely important. Although I put it in a shade area like the instruction booklet instructed but there was a window of a about 2 hours when the sun did shine on it and that's why it made the sensor reported 8-10 degrees higher than normal. I happened to do my test during that window. So the lesson learned is the sensor should be place in an area where it's consistent during the whole day. I even noticed a huge different when I compare sensors placed in the front and the back of the house. I revised my review and gave this clock a 5-star (for now) because everything seems solid and nice.

Glad I bought it...
Had the clock for at least 6 months now. No problems. This clock is well worth the money.Stays on time, looks good and reads the temperatures accuratly inside and out. I actually compared this to the weathers stations present temperature and it was within 0.2 degrees F.Got a little impatient in the beginning but as others have reported it takes a little time and manueving the get in sync with the time signal.I plan on buying another clock or two from Marathon in the future. It's a brand that can be trusted.

Nice and BIG!
If you're looking for large numbers for the time, then this is the clock you'll want! I thought it was fairly easy to set up, just follow the directions. It takes a little time for the outdoor sensor to electronically connect to the main unit and it also takes a while before it begins showing a close enough temperature. (I have another outdoor unit made by another company and both temperatures were within .5 of a degree celsius). The indoor sensor was bang on with another indoor sensor, so that's great! It also has digital seconds which sets it apart from other digital clocks. The date will show the full spelled out day, i.e., THURSDAY, and then Apr / 23. I have personally set mine up in 24 hour time and it works well. The main unit takes 4 AA batteries and the sensor unit takes 2 AAA which are supplied. Overall, I like it!

The Unit did not receive the nightly signal to correct the time
The size of the temperature readouts and all the data displayed was exceptional. However the clock did not receive the nightly signal to adjust the time. Without this feature working, the clock appears to lose about 1 second a day. The company told us to try new batteries which we did, but it still didn't work. There was no follow up response from our reply confirming that the battery change did not work. We have two other atomic clocks from other companies that receive the nightly signal. We are disappointed the unit does not work properly, but the size of the display making it very easy to read overrides the flaw.

Nice, accurate, large LCD clock
Accurate radio controlled atomic clock that is easy to read. Shows inside and outside temperature. Would be nice if it had an automatic night illumination.
