Not fresh, a big disappointment
This Colomba di Pasqua by Pineta was a complete disappointment. It must have been imported before Christmas as the cake was stale. Secondly, part of the top and side were wet. Thirdly, there were not many citron pieces in it. Lastly, it came in a cellophane bag which just covered it and once opened, could not be reclosed. I had just had a Maina Colomba di Pasqua from another seller which had just arrived from Italy. Not only was it soft and fresh but it was loaded with citron which gave it a lovely orange scent and it came in a large clear plastic bag which you can reclose. The Maina brand was sold out so I tried the Pineta brand. It was a huge mistake.
