6 Piece 3-Flute SE Carbide End Mill Set for Aluminum, 1/8-1/2

They work great on Aluminium, which is a material difficult for machining (chips can stick/weld to the cutting surface). This one seems to have a coating that helps. It is still recommended to use lubricant while cutting.

For the price they have held up beyond my expectations

these are perfect for what they are intended - milling aluminum - and this coating does make that much more effective and for much longer... this is an excellent price/value. my only beef is that the coating eliminates any hope of sharpening... but that's true for any coated tool...

Performance is comparable to much more expensive brands.

I bought four of each end mill sizes 3/16" to 1/2". Two in each the ZRN and "AluSpeed" coatings. I compared these to four other brands in the exact same material and cut. I found the RIP tools have extremely poor performance with each coating and size in 6061-t6. Chatter and inconsistent cutting with each tool. Worst slotting performance of any end mill I've ever used in aluminum. I called and talked to the tool rep at CETS who recommended them. He was unable to assist with recommendations. They did not perform at a value that he initially promised. Unfortunately a return was not allowed. I will not be buying them again.
