Worth the wait
That was an absolutely solid read. The story flows well, and as a reader, you can get invested in the characters. Lots of fun

worth the wait
What a cliffhanger from a banger of a sequel! I can't wait to see what book 3 brings for Lucas and how much more wild the ride can be in the future!

A fun read
A fun tower litrpg with the usual system and interface features. A little bit of a plot twist at the end but still entertaining.

The writing is getting worse
I gave the first book an overly nice 5 star review, as I liked the story and it was a first time writer. But, I noted in my review that, while written fairly well (especially for the progression fantasy genre) the author had a bad habit of unnecessarily paraphrasing conversations when he could simply write out the dialogue. It made for a very clunky reading experience, as the text bounced from active dialogue to summaries, often between lines of dialogue. In this book, the author cranked up that habit to 11. It really threw me off the reading experience. Couple that with several typos and run on sentences, it was a rought draft book at the very least. And then there was the plot. The entire book takes place on one floor of the Tower. Let me repeat, the entire book takes place on the same floor. What, is this going to be a 90 book series? Yikes.

Disappointing
The first book was decent. This one however was just unimaginative and felt like I was re-reading someone else's work. It just droned on and on and at no point was any of the plot unpredictable.

Disappointing
I had high hopes for this series after the first book, but it went totally off the rails and I now only feel frustration, and no motivation to continue to read. One overcomable obstacle and unbearable power after another just feels too much like real life right now. And that ending? Killed any desire I had to keep going.

1st book was alright, now its lost the plot.
Just how much influence the gods had was already a problem in the 1st book but the 2nd just went completely off the deep end. Not a single character has any agency in the story, none of their choices matter and every conflict is caused by, then solved by literal divine intervention.

significant decline from the first
I liked the first book, the second started out just as good but slowly went downhill. There is a lot of stuff that just happens because it needs too and the MC gets progressively more stupid which is honestly what kills it for me. I may give the 3rd a go but it will be more out of hope than anything.
