Best next to custom fit!
This mask fits well, gives good but not great compression around my eye, where I need it But it is the best next to a custom fit.I had a custom made full face mask made and it is in my house somewhere! I am sure it cost several hundred dollars to my insurance company. I have facial cellulitis around my eye that required home infusion antibiotics last year, hence the custom fit mask. The infection reoccurred this year and the doctor wanted me to wear my mask to try to prevent it from happening again. We searched every where and could not find it. Then DH found the Marena Recovery Full Face mask. It wasn't the cheapest, but all Marena does is make compression garments. (I researched a bit before purchasing.) No compression garment is ever fun to wear; but this one is tolerable, considering I am supposed to wear it several hours a day. It gives good compression, but not as much as my custom made mask; but that is to be expected from a "generic" fit item (like socks.) But it works for now, until I find the elusive custom mask. No matter which one, it makes me look like a masked Mexican wrestler.đ

Size is based on neck size and once package is opened the mask is not returnable.
I found the size chart confusing. It was S, M, L, XL based on "Band Size" measured in inches and centimeters. What is "Band Size"? I even went to marena.com to look at how to measure for sizing. For their garments, they had detailed illustrations for how and where to measure the parts of your body for correct the sizing. But for their face mask, they just had the same chart Amazon had, with no details of what "Band Size" meant or where to measure it. I assumed "Band Size" meant head band (like a hat size). So, I measured around the top of my head and ordered based on that. The Amazon page said the mask was returnable for refund if returned within 30 days, so I figured if it didn't fit, I could return it. When the mask arrived, there was a similar chart on the package, but instead of "Band Size" it said "Neck Size". So, the S, M, L, XL was matched to a "Neck Size" measured in inches and centimeters. Well, that meant I had ordered the wrong size, because my neck size is not the same as my hat size. Also, the package had a seal across the opening that said, "If broken, cannot be returned". The Amazon page said nothing about that. According to the Amazon page, it was returnable as long as you returned it within the 30 days. I called the 800 number on marena.com and spoke to a customer service rep. They confirmed that "Band Size" meant neck size, and yes, if I opened the package, it would not be returnable. Lucky, I didn't open the package to try on the mask. For $80, that could have been an expensive mistake to order the wrong size with no chance of returning it. So, I just returned the unopened package. I thought about ordering it again using my neck size, but for $80 I don't want to risk it not fitting.

No compression
I needed compression on my face and although this mask covers the area, thereâs hardly any compression. Itâs not worth $80.

Adjustment of eye holes is key.
Got this mask to help with facial lymphedema stemming from radiation therapy for salivary gland cancer 7 years ago. The lymphedema has lodged itself on a diagonal from the outer corner of my right eye to the right corner of my mouth, basically just above the line of where the radiation was targeted. It centers under my right eye,and gets worse with stress and salt. I also have the unfortunate habit of sleeping face down, which makes it worse.Enter this mask. It is basically like a ski mask, but altered a bit. The eye holes need some adjustments each time it is worn, in order to apply enough pressure to the under eye area and not feel like a loose eyelash is in the field of vision. It is reasonably comfortable, although as someone with fine hair prone to oiliness, a morning shower and hair washing is definitely needed. The mask closes in back with a large square velcro piece. It is somewhat adjustable, although the correct size does need to be ordered. It provides a light to mediumish pressure. Combined with an eye mask and twice daily physical therapy activities, this seems to be keeping the lymphedema in check.

Not enough
Wish the product covered more of the neckline and was a little more adjustable

Great Compression Mask
Purchased for my daughter with lymphoedema from paragangliomas. She uses this when she naps to keep the swelling down. She said it works for her. Quality is good and so far it hasn't lost any of its compression. Price is reasonable compared to her custom made mask priced at $539 that she wears at night.

Cheap and not worth the $
For 52.00 this is very cheaply made and def not worth it.

Shouldnât be this expensive
Updating my review with pictures of compression mark on my forehead after wearing for 40 mins. Wearing garment inside out may avoid this with understanding that youâre trading the compression mark on forehead for compression marks by right + left side of your head (near temples). If you have hair there , it may not be an issue but if you are bald , you will get compression marks in this area.Youâd think for $60+ , they would manufacture this face compression with FLAT seams. Nope. 2 darts by middle of forehead leave DENTS on your skin. Compression garments must have flat seams or they hurt the patient or could scar. Eyeholes are off and fabric above lip is NO WHERE near as wide as it needs to be.
