Good amount of sutures, good quality instruments and tools and realistic fake skin. Great for pre med students to practice on!!

I'm currently a PA student and just learned how to do simple interrupted sutures. This kit works great to practice those sutures. I read several reviews about sutures ripping through, so I haven't been tying them as tight and haven't had a problem with any ripping so far. The tools are decent enough quality that they mimic the tools we used in my lab fairly well. The kit works well to get faster at suturing and develop the muscle memory. I like that the kit came with plenty of practice sutures with two types of thread, and the thread is longer than traditional sutures so you can practice more stitches.

This is an amazing idea. Can't believe we don't use these in schools for children. I bought this as a gift for my little sister because she is interested in the medical field. This teaches a very important skill to know and let's you practice multiple times. I see others complaining about it falling apart, but this is an educational tool, not something you should have to do 200 times to get right. I practiced with my sister maybe 10 times and we are both proficient at it now. I recommend anyone who wants their loved ones to be capable of possibly saving your life in an emergency situation get this for their kids or anyone who is even slightly interested. Don't be so critical medical students. You get paid the big bucks don't you?! As for the product itself. It's still in great condition, comes with all the tools you need, INSTRUCTIONS, and a very nice case to hold it in. Thank you for helping us learn this amazing skill!

This is a pretty good practice set! The ebook, however, is totally useless. It's hard to understand, and just isn't worth it. Also, the ebook isn't "free". I paid money for the kit, their "free ebook" is just a cheap marketing tactic. You're way better off looking on youtube for suture tutorials.The pad does well with superficial knots, like a regular surgeon's knot. But any other knots, like the buried knot, does not do well and will tear through the pad. (pic attached shows both). The pad, otherwise, isn't terrible. It's durable enough to get down basic skills and work on improving them. The pad doesn't smell bad at all, and is actually sort of...minty? In a rubber-y way.The kit comes with plenty of thread. I don't think I'll run out. Hemostat and needle driver are great. I fail to see why a scalpel and blades are included. The pad already has reusable cuts on it...why would I make more? There's really no purpose for it when it comes to this practice kit - it was probably meant to be an actual suture kit. They say that this kit is solely for practice and education, though. I guess they don't want a lawsuit in case somebody messes something/somebody with their kit. Either way, I'm pretty confident in my surgical knots now.Great for beginners.

This is an excellent to start with to learn and practice suturing techniques. There are plenty of supplies of instruments and different suture sizes, in addition to the practice "skin" surface.

I bought this kit when I started med school. I wanted to get a handle on the different suture types and this kit is perfect for that. Multiple silicone pads to with different types of wounds. This is the perfect practice kit, you have everything that you need!

The medical instruments are very well made and easy to use! The training pad feels very life-like and is very nice for suturing! I would recommend buying if you want to practice your suturing!
