It was thinner than I would have liked but it definitely makes me feel better to have something protecting my brand new countertops. I like the clear because it blends in and looks nice. This one was thicker than many of the other options out of there.

Just rec'd it today so cannot give a review yet. It came w/ a tiny piece of paper with "tips & warnings." It mentioned a few tips but DID NOT say which side of the mat should be placed up or which side down. I'm assuming it's shiny side down but it would have made sense for the manufacturer to mention it instead of writing about how the color black is "authoritative and powerful and evokes strong emotions & used in fashion & regarded as sophisticated & elegant." C'mon! It's just a kitchen mat. Why not tell the customer for sure how to place it on a stove! (I'm going for shiny side down.)

Used under a airfrier/convection oven/ microwave combo and no issues with heat on the shelf in my camper

This mat is awesome. I wish it were a little thicker, but it works as intended.

Love this mat for a counter protector, just wish I could get a thicker one, but this one works!

I use this item to cover my glass cook top stove from spills from the overhead microwave but it is great when I need more counter top space. I can place my air fryer or electric griddle on my stove top without worry about damage to my stove top.
