The remote needs batteries as mentioned but the unicorn itself is rechargeable via USB. It can sing and dance and has lights too and can be controlled with the remote. Fun.🦄

The VOTOY Remote Control Unicorn arrived boxed in the box were the unicorn, remote control, a pair of wings, a comb, USB charging cable and full easy to follow instructions.On taking the toy out of the box it feels very well made, the wings are well made and very easy to attach to the body of the toy. The remote control takes two AAA batteries ( not included), the panel for the batteries is closed with a screw. The toy has a long mane perfect for a child to style and comb with the comb included.The toy is turned on by a button on the back of its head, when it turns on the wings and horn light up with a blue light and the toy makes a neighing sound. The remote is turned on by pressing any button and a red light flashes, it turns off automatically after a few seconds if it isn't being used.The toy is easy for a child to control, the buttons have pictures on for each of its movements, if the dance button is pressed the toy does a dance with its horn and wings flashing and music plays this can be turned off by pressing the dance button for two seconds.The toy is charged by plugging the cable into the back of its head, it is fully charged in two hours.My child has enjoyed playing with this and found the remote easy to use, it does move quite quickly when it is dancing.The toy worked well on both tiled and carpeted flooring, it is quite sturdy and a good size for a child to carry.

Both my 5 year and 3 year grandkids love this toy. It is a colorful and nicely decorated unicorn that you can move around and have "break dance" as the kids call it. The 3 year old laughs like crazy when you push the button for it to dance with the moves resembling a break dance. The 5 year old uses the remote more in total having the unicorn move around in addition to using the dance button. The remote does use batteries but the unicorn is charged via USB and comes with a USB cord for charging (red light goes off indicating it has completed charging) and maintains a charge for quite awhile. I would definitely give this as a gift.
