Terrific hearing air for seniors!
I've been working with my father for some time to try and find the best possible over the counter hearing aids. We've tried several different types over the last year and have either found that they are not loud enough for him, or that they are too difficult to use (a senior in his 80s with poor vision) to operate. To make things more complicated, his ear canals are also not symmetrical!Fortunately we purchased these hearing aids and they've been an absolute game changer.First, these hearing aids get SUPER loud... well over 104dB - which means he can finally watch TV without having to turn the television all the way up. The contour of the frequency amplification is focused in the 1-5kHz range, which is ideal for helping him hear conversation, without other sounds (appliances, air conditioning, traffic noise) also being boosted. There is no detectable distortion (I work in audio and gave them a good demo before letting my Dad try them). They have a pleasing to the ear natural sound. These are great for listening to music too.The hearing aids come with 5 different sizes of ear tips, which is amazing, and exactly what we needed because my Dad needed a small for one ear and a medium for the other. Choosing the right ear tip is critical because if the ear canal isn't sealed that can cause hearing aids to feedback (or ring). The variety of sizes was a big plus and he was able to get a perfect seal. They stay in his ear all day without falling out! Most importantly though - these hearing aids couldn't be easier to operate! All he has to do is pull them out of the charging case and slide the switch to "on" for each hearing air. That's it! Volume is very easy to set for an older person because its just a volume control (instead of confusing buttons). My Dad, who is extremely hard of hearing mind you, and he can hear very when turning the rotary control to half way. That gives you a sense of just how loud they can get. They come with detailed instructions that make perfect sense. It's easy for my Dad to get these ear buds in the charging case facing the correct direction and the lights on the side make it clear they are charing. We found he can wear them all day without needing a recharge. That is another huge plus compared to some of the other brands we tried which only ran for a few hours at a time before dying.Overall we're really pleased with these hearing aids, we give them a strong 5 star rating, and our heavy endorsement. These are a great option for an aging parent who "just needs it to work," and doesn't want to mess with the tech. More importantly though, my Dad is finally part of the family conversation again because he can finally hear and participate with the family!

Excellent noise reduction
I'm very pleased with this item. The amplification is great, and you have a dial to turn the volume up and down. I prefer the turning dial to push button as I feel you have better control over the actual volume. I love that each ear has its own settings and you can set them differently according to need. The noise reduction is great, there's not a lot of white noise or static and very little shellac. They charge fairly quickly and the case is not bulky or flashy and it fits easily in my purse and even my pocket when I'm walking. They come with a selection of pads you can change to fit your ear and wearing them is very comfortable. They are light and you don't even notice they are there other than the sound. They are easy to put on and easy to take off. You are able to see the cable when wearing them, but you don't see the receivers behind the ear.

These do a good job of amplifying the sound around you
These seem to be pretty standard over the counter (OTC) hearing aids. They're mostly just an amplifier and amplify all of the sounds around you. There is a dial on the back to adjust the volume and if you get them adjusted just right, you can hear speech better and the distracting other noises are minimized. The hearing aids that I received are the type that goes in the ear and then has the unit that goes behind the ear attached to it. That is what were showing in the listing at the time that I ordered them. I am not sure why, but the listing is now showing a slightly different type in the pictures (the type without the piece behind your ear). Anyway, you can see from my pictures, the hearing aids that I received and am reviewing. In summary, they do seem to work pretty good but don't expect the performance of a $5000 set of hearing aids with all the bells and whistles. To help understand how I rate items:My philosophy is, that for a rating system to be effective, the highest rating and the lowest rating should be reserved for a relatively small percentage of the best and the worst products. If I give a product four stars, it is because I believe it is a very good product. To get five stars from me requires a product to go above and beyond and really impress me beyond my expectations. By the same token, a product has to be VERY, VERY bad to get only one star from me. One thing that I DON'T take into consideration with my ratings is price. I may make a general statement such as “this is a good value” but it will not affect my star rating. The reason is that product prices change, even from day-to-day. Also what one person may consider a good price someone else might not. I feel it is more important to review the quality and features of a product and let the buyer decide whether the current price is worth it to them. Another thing that I don't take into consideration are issues with shipping. This is because the seller does not always have control over that. Following is each of the five categories of *stars* and how I assign them to a product:***** Five stars - The product exceeded my expectations. I really love it and would actively suggest it to friends and would certainly purchase it again if needed.**** Four stars - The product met my expectations. It does what it claims to do. I like it and would recommend it to someone if they asked about it. I would Most likely purchase it again if needed .*** Three stars - The product is average and for the most part does what it claims. There may be a few things I don't like about it. If I recommended it to someone, I would state my reservations. I may purchase it again if I could not find a better alternative.** Two stars - The product fell far short of my expectations. It may, in some respects, do what it claims to do but has far too many problems to overlook. I would never recommended it to someone nor would I ever purchase it again. There is a good possibility I would return it.* One star - The product is terrible. It has way too many cons and few if any pros. I would actively warn my friends away from it and would most likely return it if possible.

Great hearing amplifier
Wuvee Hearing Aids Rechargeable for Seniors with Noise Cancelling and Volume ControlThis is a great hearing amplifier. It arrived already charged, so I was able to try it out immediately. Set the volume low to start, and adjust as needed by rolling the little wheel. If set too high, you will get a lot of uncomfortable feedback. The volume adjusts easily, plus there are two sets of domes and cleaning brushes included. There are also two sets of charging cords included. One that will plug directly into the amplifier for direct charging, and one that will plug into the charger to charge both amplifiers at one time. You will need to have the wall unit to charge either, as one is not included. This unit is working very well and I would recommend it.
