Great value- Huge 2.2 kg Jar Plus a nice sherbety taste
I normally use SIS products but they can be a bit on the expensive side. I have used High5 tablets before and found them good. I decided to give this energy drink a go as you get a huge 2.2 kg container for under £20, so what's not to like! I have top say I really like the Citrus taste and what struck me it had a nice sherbet taste. It also mixes very quickly in the drink bottle without forming a lump as often happens with other makes. I found 2 decent scoopfuls were plenty for my 700ml bottle. It kept me refreshed and energy up on a recent 45 mile ride . They other thing I noticed is it didn't leave a syrupy residue if some got spilt on the frame , which was a bonus. So I would definitely recommend if you maybe just want a change of drink from your normal one or one that is going to lasts ages and give you your monies worth..

Good for hangovers but very clumpy.
As above really, good for when you've had a night out and feel worse off in the morning, tastes nice, the citrus flavour isn't too strong but it's a hassle to get the clumps to fully dissolve.

Great products at a realistic price point.
Reading previous reviews, one said short BBE date. As you can see absolutely not a case here! Bought the berry & citrus on sale with massive 37% off!!.I have been using other products for a few years now, one promoting higher sodium intake & the other uses orange & black colour scheme on most of their products. Having looked into the main ingredients of sports drinks I've come to the conclusion that all are pretty much the same then tweaked with sodium and many different sweeteners, some good, some not so good. Anyway I digress! I also noticed High Five use sea salt, much more preferable. If I want to up the sodium I intend adding a measured amount of Celtic sea salt. I used High Five many years ago and have come full circle. Always found there stuff agreed with my digestive system. Give High Five a try and save yourself a fortune, sports nutrition doesn't have to be expensive.

Positive effect on riding for me - but mixing can be difficult
Been using this powder in the concentration of 2 level scoops in 800ml of water. Full and complete mixing in cold water is not easy, takes a lot of vigorous shaking in my experience.Taste is very sweet, but palatable. Be warned that if you spill this on your hands or bike frame then it is very sticky.Over a distance of 40-50km i've felt the benefit to my energy levels from using this hydration/energy drink, prevents spinning on empty.

Delicious and effective
High 5 is one of my go to brands for sports nutrition and this doesn't disappoint.Tip: as with many powders, this may not mix easily in cold water. I heat (not boil) up to 100ml of water in the kettle and gradually pour in the powder as I whisk. Then top up with cold water (and optionally ice cubes to aid cooling. Once it doesn't feel warm you can stick it in the fridge. Putting hot liquids in the fridge or freezer makes it work too hard and also wastes electricity. So, it's best to prepare powdered drinks the night before or at least as early as possible before your activity.
