This was a nice kit for a couple of 5 year olds. If you can use a sandpaper to polish the mirrors, it would be an added bonus. However, it was not required. This kit is sturdy and the unpainted wooden surface allows the kids to use this imagination to draw on the wooden surface. A nice gift.

But they still turned out great and the boys had a blast
We got these for a Cub Scout meeting. It was a huge hit. The only down side of these is that they require sanding before assembling. Not something 3rd grade boys have an interest in doing. But they still turned out great and the boys had a blast.
