Great drawing book for beginners
Great drawing book for beginners. In fact, I think its the only drawing book I have seen so far that could be used in preschool, though I am sure it was intended older kids. The first few pages start off with very simple drawings with only 3 steps. Throughout the rest of the book however the number of steps and the difficulty of each step varies considerably. I think its one of those books that you may need to jump around in order to complete the pages at the correct level of difficulty. Also the style of the book is more doodly than either cartoony or realistic which again makes it more appropriate for preschool kids than other books because there is no erasing lines or shading etc. Lastly, I like that the book has a "gender inclusive" feel. I was always more of a tom boy so a book that includes flowers, butterflies, dump trucks, and pirates is great! I did find the fairy, princess, and mermaid pages a bit too on the girly side and the pirate and knight pages too much on the boyish side. This could have been easily fixed by having the princesses and knights on the same page... by including male fairies, mermen, and female pirates. 5year old loves it
My five year old son isn’t much for coloring or drawing. Partially because fine motor skills are hard for him, and partially because he doesn’t know what to draw or how to draw it what he does know. The step by steps in this book are easy to follow and a fun selection (everything from a pig to a pirate ship to a stinky mushroom) for a kid who otherwise has no interest in sitting down to do anything. I enjoy learning from it too

Really nice book
I bought this for our 5 yo budding artist. She loves the detail and this is her second book. It is detailed, but she has an interest and will spend hours coloring in her book. May not be for everyone and my other grandchildren do not gravitate toward this type of detail, but they are all very young, so definitely a decision that is individual

Simple for everyone, kids love it
One of the best drawing booms. So simple, you just need to be able to draw circles, rectangles and other basic shapes and that’s enough to draw dragons and bulldozers and mermaids! Great for little kids

Beautiful Book!
The Big Drawing Book has simple illustrations to show a non-reader how to draw animals and insects and such. It's beautifully illustrated, and my 5-year-old son loves drawing in it! He's hard on himself, and doesn't want to attempt things if he can't do them perfectly. This book has been a great help in encouraging him to try new things and be creative. I love it!

Great drawing book with variety
Such a cute book! Pages are thick so markers can be used without bleeding through. Nice variety for both boys and girls to draw

Must buy
Excellent book for toddlers. My 4.5 year old loves drawing pictures with this book. There is space within the book to draw, but we draw in a separate book to keep this one neat. The most wonderful thing is that kids can actually go through the book and learn by themselves. The pictures increase in complexity as we go, but the drawings are clear enough for the kids to follow. This was a pleasant surprise because this meant I could have some time for myself while the kid was engaged creatively. Win win!!I have added a few pictures that my kid drew with this book's help.

Perfect for my 5 year old. Hours of fun.
We love all activity books from Usborne. This one is no different. Lots of diverse activities on high quality paper. Hours of fun for these holidays. I purchased these for friends as well and they were very well received.
