This remote let me play DVDs from the library on an old TV/DVD machine I got for free. All other remotes could handle the TV channels and volume, but could not select chapters on DVDs. The buttons were a little confusing -- you press play to pause, for example, but it got the job done.

remote no longer working after a few months usage
this remote does not work well with my TV. after 4 months of usage it has stopped working, as it does not power on the tv. I have changed the batteries several times to make sure it is not with the batteries.

Keys are awkward to function.
They could have made the unit larger so it fits your hand better. I think most of us want form over fashion. It works, just not a good fit for a human hand.
