It's good to be aware that it comes only with the platform and USB cable – does not include the base wall charger where you can plug it in.Charges my Galaxy 7 edge upon contact with the platform (as shown in video/photos). In the video, the platform lights up when recognizing device contact, but what is not shown is that it does turn off automatically after a few seconds, so it will not light up your dark room if you plan to go to bed while it is charging.Charge speed is decent, though it is about 33% faster if I plug the phone directly into the cable. Still, when at home, I find it very convenient to just plop it on top to charge since I am not in a rush to go anywhere anyway. Also a nice feature is that one can comfortably watch videos/video chat without having to hold the phone all the time. An interesting tidbit is that the phone can charge while set horizontally on the charger for full screen video viewing.For sake of transparency, I received this item on discount, though am not compelled to give a high star rating.

Absolutely love this wireless charger, I've had this charger for roughly 3 weeks now and use it daily in my office.First I'll start with the charging since that is its main function. This charger allows for fast charging if you use a fast charging plug. I've had a few other wireless chargers in the past and they did not. Keep in mind this charger does not come with a plug so you'll want to use your own. This charger also fast charges through my Spigen Tough Armor Case which is a 2 piece case with a kickstand. I was a little worried it wouldn't but was pleased to see it does with no issues at all. The charger will also charge your phone in portrait (standing up) or landscape (on its side) which is perfect when watching moviesThe angle of the charger keeps my phone in site so I can see calls and messages at work which is important because I keep my phone on silent when in the office. I also use a wireless headset to listen to music throughout the day always being able to see what song is playing is nice and makes skipping songs a breeze.As for cons there aren't really any, but if the company wanted some constructive feedback I'd say include a longer charge cable, the one they send you is relatively short, personally I use a 6' cable since it is on my desk at work and the outlet is quite far away. This is obviously an issue most people won't have, but a longer cable is always nice to have.

UPDATE: THE MICRO-USB connection failed and now won't power the charger. That's unbelievable since I rarely plug or unplug the cord from the charger. The weak, cheap connector is the Achilles Heel in an otherwise fine product.ORIGINAL POST:The best thing about this charger is there is no fumbling around looking for the "sweet spot" to charge like on the flat charging bases. You just set the phone on the cradle and off it goes. It's fast too, probably one of the faster ones in my home.

Before this purchase, I had a circular disk to recharge my phone. With it laying flat I was always having to bend over or pick up my phone to view any notification. This standup model has completely changed that, I can easily see the screen. I've had great results and am 100% satisfied with placement and charging, I can be off when I put it on the base and my phone will still charge. Like others, the base lights up when charging begins then the light goes away. I was a little nervous when it lit up since I prefer a dark room when sleeping.

So it works fine but I have a case with a magnetic piece inside..after charging for about 5 minutes I pulled off the phone and got burnt from the magnet on the back of my case..it was SOOOOO HOT I couldn’t believe it. I can’t explain why but I’m assuming the charging section isn’t meant to have a magnet forcing energy back. I wish I saw that in the information section but for $10 I won’t return it. I’ll probably give it to a friend or pull off my case if I really wanna use it.

The bright light is annoying when charging at night, wouldn't recommend having it on your night stand next to your bed unless you want to get blinded at random times throughout the night. It also broke a few months later when I was traveling with it. Good if you plan to keep this stationary for an office, wouldn't recommend as a bedroom charger.

If you don’t like having to find your charger every night to plug in your iPhone XS max this one eliminates that problem. It is a really nice charging base that you just sent your phone and it lights up to let you know that it has been connected. Keeps me from having to hunt my charger all over my nightstand every night.

This is such a great product but the usb port broke within a few short months! I do not blame the manufacturer however as this happened after moving and may have broken during transport. It would have been nice to have been more durable but it's definitely worth the price and I will be getting another soon.
