I was a bit hesitant about buying this bike because the brand is very much unknown in the UK. You Google the name/brand and all you get is a couple of online shops selling it (and one of them the most popular ones), which raise some suspicion. But fear not, because if you Google "tropix bike br" you'll see that the 1st result is the manufacturer's website, where you can widely and deeply check all the components of the bike. Yes, it's a Brazilian website, but nothing the Translator setting on Chrome can't fix.Once you do that, you'll see how the components are top notch, and the owner/founder of the brand is actually a reputable professional cyclist (and Olympian, actually).Well, I'm not a super expert on bikes, and I'm lost in all the brands of the components and technical terms... All I know is that this bike looks absolutely beautiful, and it runs like a rocket. What a difference with the Decathlon mid-range road bike I used to ride. Like night and day, believe me. The proof is in the pudding: I used to time myself while cycling the diabolic (yet so enjoyable) climb in Hampstead Heath, in London. 8:35 my best time with the Decathlon. 3:14 with this one. Not joking, it's honestly hard to believe how light it is and how much you flow on it.Anyway, I'm digressing: if you want a fantastically looking road bike that runs like a torpedo for around 1k, this is the one. Do it.
