RedShift Sports Switch Aero Bicycle System – Aluminum No need for multiple bikes, effortlessly transform your road bike and switch up your position as you ride. Features: Quick-Release Aerobars and Dual-Position Seatpost allow you the same efficiency and speed of a true aero position, without losing the comfort and agile handling of your normal road setup. Easy to attach and remove in just seconds without the use of any tools. The patent-pending quick-release dovetail clamp locks the aerobars securely in the same position every time. Adapt on the fly with the dual-position seat post, allowing you to climb in comfort in your road position and go hard on the flats in aero position. Customize the aerobars for comfort; easily change stack height, pad width and extension reach as well as change between multiple extension shapes to match your riding style. With its forward position, the seatpost replicates the steeper seat tube angle of a tri bike to open your hip and ride more comfortably in the aero position The linkage design maintains constant saddle-to-pedal distance in both positions, ensuring proper leg extension in road and aero. The aero position also allows you to dial up in 5 degrees of additional forward tilt The integrated accessories (optional computer mount and water bottle mount) link seamlessly on to the aerobars, letting you carry all of your gear effortlessly.Dual Position Seatpost Weight 400 g - 27.2 mm x 350 mm Seatpost Diameter (A) 27.2 mm Seatpost Length (B)

Great Product and Great Company that backs it up
Love the ability to switch back and forth between aero and normal saddle positions. The quick release aero bars are really nice for making a quick change between leisure riding and triathlon training. Also appreciate that the company is easy to work with. Had an issue with the aero bars, to which the company total stood behind their product. Responded super fast to my email and followed up with a solution extremely fast. Redshift is now on the top of my list for the products they offer.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. I felt comfortable switching from aero to normal bike position after a few minutes of riding using this. I got the L-shaped aero bars and these are easy to put on the bike and remove and are also very comfortable. If you're into triathlons and have a road bike, this is a good way of getting into that aero position without busting the bank.

Awesome
Awesome system. See my boyfriend's review on these (iReview). He nails it. Just putting up this review to add pictures.

SIMPLY EXCELLENT (with updates)
REVIEW: So happy with the seatpost and aerobars. Everything feels really high quality. What appears to be a small seatpost adjustment results in a huge improvement in position. The aerobars are excellent too. They're sturdy and have plenty of adjustments to find a comfortable position. I really like the L-bend. The whole setup does add a whopping 2.3 pounds, but in my opinion that's really only slightly noticeable when lifting up the bike. While riding, I haven't noticed the added weight, and the trade-off in weight for comfort in aero totally seems worth it to me, especially for my purposes of training/exercising and not racing. It's worth noting (at the time of this writing) that the carbon fiber alternative weighs 2.1 pounds vs 2.3 pounds for aluminum. That's a pretty insignificant difference to me, but someone else might be able to justify the higher cost to save a tiny bit of weight. I mounted everything to a 2013 Specialized Secteur men's road bike. Didn't have to use shims anywhere. The install was fairly straightforward. I did struggle a little with getting my saddle attached to the seatpost and adjusted where I wanted, but eventually got it. The instructions are clear and a little lengthy, but you'll be grateful if you at least read the ones for the seatpost. I put something on backwards and had to start over. Installing the bars was a breeze without instructions though. Make sure to wrap some bar tape on them.Aluminum: L-bend aerobars 640 grams / seatpost 400 gramsCarbon Fiber: L-bend aerobars 570 grams / seatpost 400 gramsIt should be noted that a saddle bag won't really work well with this unique adjustable seatpost. It technically *could* work, but it's rather tight with the seatpost flipped forward to "aero" and loose when it's flipped back to "road." I expect others will run into this with most typical saddle bag styles and sizes. For anyone interested, I ended up getting a top tube bag and tool bottle to hold stuff, specifically "XLAB Stealth Pocket, 400gm" and "SKS Cagebox Storage Container." Both on Amazon. They work great! Also, check out "Dark Speed Works" top tube bag. Not on Amazon, but looks really sharp.EDIT (11/02/2014): Been riding with the Redshift setup for over a month now and everything is great except that the bars are creaky and make rattling sounds. It can be annoying if you are sensitive to that kind of thing. The bars are rock solid and haven't budged at all, but yeah, the rattling can get pretty annoying. I think it is happening where the L handle bar attaches to the circular clamp that holds it in place. I'm going to try slipping a thin cut up T-Shirt or something around that area to see if that little buffer between the two metals is enough to dampen the unwanted sound. Bumping the product down to 4 stars until I can find a way to resolve this. Will probably wait until the snow melts here before troubleshooting.EDIT (06/19/2015): I still absolutely love these bars and seat post!! I have put hundreds of miles on them and the squeaking/creaking that I mentioned before seems to either be mostly gone at this point or doesn't bother me anymore, so I'm bumping the review back up to 5 stars (I never did anything to try to address the sound). I wonder if the cold weather that I was riding in right after purchasing these bars was contributing to the creaking that I heard, because they have just been perfect this spring and summer of 2015. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I have even tried a couple of different configurations and dialed in where I prefer the arm pads. I am so dang comfortable now :)EDIT (08/30/2016): Loving this setup still. Just swapped out my stock Specialized saddle for a Brooks B17 leather saddle and am LOVING it (and it's not even technically broken in yet). Thought it was worth mentioning here because the Redshift seatpost does in fact fit the Brooks B17 just fine. This particular seat looks a little funny on my road bike and with this Redshift seatpost, but I honestly don't care at all. I want to be comfortable and have good ergonomics, and with my old Specialized seat I was getting saddle sores all the time even with chamois cream. Lastly, I put on a shorter handlebar stem (changed from 100mm to 70 mm) and that has also helped my particular setup quite a bit. Shortening the cockpit up some with the shorter handlebar stem and getting a better seat REALLY complemented the Redshift bars/seatpost that I had been using. Wish I had done that sooner. Also, might be getting the Redshift aerobar water bottle holder and computer mount soon because my old water bottle mount wouldn't fit on the back of this saddle, and my new stem is too short to hold both the computer and my iPhone mount. But again, to the point, really happy with the Redshift aerobars/seatpost a couple of years later of nonstop riding. I mostly leave it in the aero position all the time these days, but it's nice to swap back on occasion. Really fast and easy to do while riding.

Great ride with the great system!
I picked up the carbon systems, both the seatpost and the aerobars (S-bend). They are perfectly fitting me. My body is a bit lack of flexibility and because of that, I was always feeling cramped when I kept TT position. This aerobars with the height adjustability (actually I set the highest position), I feel much easier during TT position. Even more amazingly, the seatpost gives me more comfort to keep the position, when it slides forward. In addition, with the highest position of aerobars, it creates some space between handlebar and elbow pad. which enable me to hold the flat part of the handlebar while I couldn't with aerobars I previously used.I joined a triathlon race a week ago, and I changed the seat position several times during the race. Two different positions can spread the fatigue of my legs and hips.I love this system as a whole, and it's definitely my recommendation. If I add something negative, the seatpost weighs more than normal one. This may want to be improved.

Couldn't be happier with this system that I've been riding on for about a year. The aerobars themselves have so many adjustments that I have tweaked them every so often to achieve what's optimal for me. Just recently I started rotating the L-bars inward to get my hands closer and it's been much more comfortable. The seat post works great once you get the knack of safely switching it while riding. While there were other factors involved I'm sure, I improved my 40K triathlon bike time by 2.5 minutes from the previous year with these on my Specialized.I'm not a mechanic, but installed everything myself in under 1/2 hour. The build quality of everything is top notch. Very impressive. And customer service is great as well. I returned a computer mount I had ordered (turned out to be redundant for me) and when one of the arm pads started twisting, they sent me a couple of more screws to make sure it stayed in place which it has.

Great system!
Got these at the beginning of the racing season and I love them. Turned my 2013 Cannondale CAAD 10 into an awesome hybrid. Took about an hour to install and was super easy to do. While racing here in Wichita KS I have gotten a lot of questions and comments about what it is. Everyone who watches how the system works seems truly interested in it. Finished in the top ten of my age bracket last week while racing a sprint with the system. Not a single issue. Was great being able to push the seat back and to use the drop bars to climb up the hills with a head wind. Was way easier for me to do that then try and stay in the aero position. Would recommend this system to anyone who is into triathlons but doesn't want (or afford) a tri bike. Also wanted to support a small creative group that just wanted to make something different. Awesome system.
