So far so good
Bought this to replace yet another crackling dry lump of rubber in my NS Oscar (original). I was nervous about buying a tapered gasket since NS recommends a flat gasket for the Oscar, but it seems to be working just fine. It was a REALLY tight fit at first, but now that it's broken in everything seems more or less normal. I'll give an update when/if I need to change the gasket because in my opinion that's where the rubber hits the road (pun intended). The rubber gaskets that NS sells just fall apart and take forever to replace because they're fused into the group head and come away in chunks. If this thing stays in one piece and can be removed and replaced with relative ease then it'll retain its 5 stars for me.

Doesn't seem to fit
Seems very tight. I just installed it so maybe after a while it will be broken in, but it’s very tight to the point you almost cannot fit the portofilter into the group head. It maybe is just a bit too thick, but I’ll update this review if it gets better.*** UPDATE *** After two full weeks of use it is still too tight. My wife can't use my machine with this. Also, because it wasn't on right it came off and made a huge mess. I tried to give it some time to break in, but it's ridiculously tight, and clearly doesn't fit.

Not for Oscar, Musica, or Appia!
Per Cafelat's website, the Oscar, Musica, and Appia models need the red 8.3mm gasket, while the blue 9mm gasket is for Nuova Simonelli's other models. Make sure you get the right one for a proper fit!
