KNIPEX9K 00 80 05 US Tools - 3 Piece Multi-Component Cobra Set (7, 10, & 12) (9K008005US)

I have returned this set of pliers due to only really needing the 250mm (10") version and the 180mm and 300mm were not different enough for me to need them in my DIY toolbox. However, from first looks the tool is of very high quality. Fit and finish was immaculate. The handle grips weren't too thick, and had little raised ends to prevent your hand slipping up too close to the teeth or adjuster button. The push button adjuster worked fairly easily (probably just needs to be worked in). Once locked in the mechanism feels very sturdy. The teeth are extremely sharp and will absolutely grip your material. Lastly, the pliers when fully closed will not crush your material when at proper size, neat! I will be buying the standalone 10" and a larger 16" for my tool box.

I am an electrician. a pair of pump pliers are most often used to tighten compression fitting in my line of work. Obviously these are expensive. Channel locks work just fine and for the price of Channellock that's really all you need. But, once you put these on to grip whatever it is you want to turn you will immediately notice a huge difference from channel locks. These are luxury tools, the price is right for the amount of improvement that they offer. I am kind of nervous of them getting stolen so I am a bit over protective of them on the site. Channel locks might provide more bang for your buck because they are affordable, and if you lose a pair of channel, replacing them won't hurt too bad. These are not in the same league, but be careful, they are more likely to disappear on a busy site.

Love how the grip and don't slip!! Main thing I dislike is how to get the right size, but apparently Knipex fixed that with a new model

Very pleased and impressed with this set of cobra Chanel locks from Knipex. Just by holding a pair of them in your hand you can feel the quality of the tool. The locking feature is spot on and really makes it easy to get a secure grip on whatever it is you’re working with. Having a variety of different sized pliers is a luxury and each cobra is beyond useful and versatile in its own way. You can never go wrong with Knipex.

I first bought a Knipex 12" plier. Once I got a feel of it in my hand I realized the value I returned it to buy the whole set.These are inarguably the best set of tools that I own. They are well designed and a lot of thoughtful engineering has been put into them. They are ergonomic, lightweight, strong and durable. In the short time I'll have had these, they have already proved to be invaluable for a lot of my projects in my shop. They are expensive but well worth every penny. I water pump pliers from other brands - but these stand out and you have to use these to believe it - I will never go back to using another plier again. Unless Knipex decides to cheap out on their tools or switch to an inferior design, I will happily continue to buy their tools.The only complaint that I have is that they should have given a small bag or tool roll for storage, given the high price of this product. I went to Walmart and bought the Hypertough tool roll bag (TT50217D) for around $12 which can comfortably store this set and holds some other tools too.

They cost more than the amazon no name tools. But quality vs. value comes into play with my tools. If you’re gonna use them more than once get em.
